I had high hopes for this medical professional as I had done some research and it seemed like she was a good option. I saw Patricia McWhorter during a time of severe depression and suicidal ideation, hoping for professional help and support. Unfortunately, my experience was deeply disappointing and, in my opinion, negligent. I was advised to "watch funny movies and laugh," which felt incredibly dismissive and inappropriate given the seriousness of my mental health crisis. Even more troubling, it appeared that she fell asleep during our session while taking notes. She also repeatedly brought up her political views and details about her vacation, which made the session feel unprofessional and disorienting. The session ended abruptly and I was rushed out the door with no treatment plan, and no help. As someone in a vulnerable state, I didn’t know how to respond. She was the licensed professional, and I assumed she knew what she was doing—leaving me in a confusing and uncomfortable position. It has taken me months to find a therapist who listens, takes my concerns seriously, and offers meaningful support. Coming out of my depression and working with a competent provider has made me realize just how inappropriate and harmful that earlier experience was. It takes a lot for me to stand up for myself and actually say something, but I feel that this kind of treatment is dangerous for vulnerable people, like myself. I share this in hopes that others struggling with their mental health find professionals who treat them with the care and respect they deserve.

This lady is an absolute joke! I had an appointment for today at 2:30, she called me and said I missed my appointment yesterday which was a Sunday. She then proceeded to ask me if I wanted to reschedule my appointment that was upcoming. I seriously think this woman is very confused and I would not trust my mental health to her I hope others feel the same way

This was definitely one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a Doctor. I called her because I needed counseling in order to receive bariatric surgery. I got a quick response from her to set an appointment. That's when everything went down hill. She called me once and then continued to call me over and over and leave me tons of messages. A few days before she called me saying she needed to know where to send the report after the session (which I understand is needed, but she should have asked that when setting the appointment up) but she said she was doing the session for something to do with your back so clearly she didn't listen when I set the appointment and also called me by the wrong name. She then called all the pain places in Tooele and found out if I'm a patient there which is illegal and against HIPPA. When she found out I wasn't she called me over 5 times in 15 minutes threatening to cancel my appointment if I didn't call her back and give her the information I needed. I was at work and couldn't answer. 3 minutes before my appointment she called me because I was "late" I work in Park City and told her might be late. I still arrived on time for my appointment. When I was in my appointment with her she took a phone call from a prospective client and was on speaker the whole time and I could hear everything they were talking about and then when she came to plug her phone back in she told my who it was and what they were talking about. This extremely unprofessional. In my opinion this lady shouldn't be doing psychiatric evaluations, but be seen by a psychiatrist. She didn't listen to me she just gave me an evaluation to fill out and also just called me over and over. I wouldn't recommend anyone go to her. Response to owner: you did threaten to cancel my appointment. I have the voicemail saved. You wouldn't remember anyway. If you can give the care your patients deserve you should retire now. Please give your patients what they need now and retire. Do you community and yourself a favor. Take of yourself. Give your community a provider who can actually take care of them. Its the right thing to do.

"If I were you and had lots of money, I would put her in a nursing home." I brought my mom to this lady for various traumas. That was not the answer I am looking for. Don't bring your elderly loved one here.
