Dr. Martin did a super job when determining what lenses I needed. The last pair of glasses I had didn't feel quite right, even when new, but I couldn't explain exactly why. After much questioning, we discovered what I thought was simple bluriness was actually double vision. He then spent time to find a better correction. While my 76 yo eyes will never see as good as they did at 20, I'm very pleased! And, an added benefit was the friendly, knowledgeable help of all those in the Lens Crafter store. Definitely recommend!

I stopped by the Red Cliffs Mall while waiting for my wife to shop at the nearby Chicos store. I love to update Google Maps it’s a hobby. I stopped for a photo of the LensCrafters store front using my iPhone. As a long-time Google Maps contributor and local resident, I enjoy updating business listings with current images—for free, purely as a hobby—to help shoppers see what stores actually look like today. While standing directly in front of the store, an employee named Loose approached me promptly and firmly stated that no pictures were allowed. I immediately explained my purpose: contributing an up-to-date photo to promote their business on Google Maps. To help him understand, I showed him several examples in the app of outdated images already posted for various locations (some quite old), and I shared my profile to demonstrate my good-faith contributions across the country. I even offered him my local real estate business card, introducing myself as a community member who does this voluntarily to support local businesses. Despite these efforts, Loose maintained that corporate policy was extremely strict as he described it and that photographs were prohibited in the store under any circumstances—no exceptions. The exchange became noticeably tense and drew attention from nearby shoppers, which felt disproportionate to the situation. I responded calmly, said it was no issue, and asked if I could instead photograph the mall's exterior sign. He agreed, but given the tone of the interaction, I chose not to proceed and walked away. Shortly after, while I was briefly near a neighboring business, mall security (a guard named Justin) arrived summoned by the LensCrafters employee “Loose.” I was waiting outside in the parking lot for my wife, who was finishing her shopping at Chico's. Even then, Justin followed me outdoors to explain and emphasize the no-photography rule on mall property. The fact that “Loose” felt the need to involve security escalated what could have been a simple conversation felt particularly frustrating. This is the first time I've encountered such a rigidly enforced no-photography policy at any shopping mall—especially for a harmless cell phone snapshot intended to benefit the business itself. I've contributed thousands of helpful updates to Google Maps nationwide without similar issues. Furthermore there is nothing posted in Lens Crafters stating photography was not allowed anywhere. My wife and daughter have taken numerous pictures at Lens Crafters sending those pictures to me to ask if I liked the glasses they were trying on. My wife and daughter needs new glasses, but this experience has left us with no desire to return to the LensCrafters at Red Cliffs Mall or interact with its staff.

I visited the store to get my husband his first pair of prescription glasses (without my husband being there), and met Luce - He was absolutely phenomenal with his knowledge and professionalism. He took his time and graciously explained so much about prescription lenses. Thank you Luce!!

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
