Fitness Center
Built in the early 1960’s, the Stephen L. Richards Building was constructed to provide space and facilities for physical education instruction. The board of Trustees had recognized the need for larger and more adequate physical education facilities and authorization was given for the construction of the Richards Building. The building was one of the finest facilities of its kind when it was completed in 1971. The Richards Building houses the departments of Physical Education, Dance, and Health Science. The building contains five gymnasiums, three pools of various sizes, multiple dance studios, and various other rooms.

After somehow qualifying for state (I was seeded pretty much dead last in my event), I soon found myself typing this review during the girl’s 200 free relay at UHSAA 4A state. This pool is AWESOME. You get not 1, not 2, but THREE pools that can be used when configured for SCY. Additionally, unlike other pools (looking at you, Fairmont), this pool does not look like a prison. Normally, I would make these reviews longer, but because this pool is that great, I have no other words. 5 stars well deserved.
