The navigator was one of the most unhelpful and rude employees I have ever encountered. I have already been experiencing issues scheduling an appointment for an assessment. The employee began to project their insecurities onto me and hung up on my face. Call occurred around 11:00AM on 10/17/2025. I wish I had remembered the customer service representative's name, but unfortunately, she was trying very hard to get me off the phone.

We had an excellent experience with Weston Heather and Tony Evans when they helped us with a power wheelchair repair. Tony was fantastic—he assisted us with the ticket, carefully assessed our needs, and even transferred us to the Salt Lake office to ensure we received the right support. Heather was quick to return our call and scheduled an appointment for Weston to come out and assist us. Weston went above and beyond to fix the issue with the wheelchair's speed, providing prompt and professional service.
All three employees demonstrated outstanding customer service, making us feel valued and cared for. We are incredibly grateful for their help and especially for the same-day service. If we could, we would give 500 stars! Thank you all for your dedication and kindness!

Never will I go through them again. Called over a month in advance for bath chair that I needed for daughter after surgery and they waited till it was less than a week of when I needed to receive it to bill insurance. Told me they didn't bill insurance because they knew it would be denied (I already had it approved through the insurance when called to order). The only good thing about this company was the delivery guys. They lied to me about records they were waiting to receive to send into the insurance (after she already told me they didn't bill because knew it be denied) and that's why they hadn't sent it into insurance till a week before I should be receiving it! They don't communicate what so ever! Worst experience!!

Frequently Asked Questions About National Seating & Mobility
What makes NSM the preferred choice for obtaining mobility solutions?
At NSM, we are uniquely positioned to search hundreds of sources for the precise components needed to create a chair that is made specifically to meet the needs of each client. Each chair can be designed for maximum comfort and ease and will provide the specific therapeutic benefits prescribed for you by the health care team. But what really sets NSM apart is our approach. We work from the heart, honoring your journey of independence with efficient, friendly attention that puts your interests first. This is our life’s work—to help others move through life—and we take it very seriously.
How can I work with NSM for my mobility needs?
National Seating & Mobility is a member of your rehabilitation health care team. We work with your physician, nurses and therapists to provide a one-of-a-kind mobility solution customized to your needs and preferences. Because we work in a partnership with your health care team, we require a referral from them in order to be your mobility provider. To help ensure your choice of NSM, you should request that your physician and/or therapist select us as your provider of choice.
How long does it take to get a new power wheelchair from NSM?
NSM strives to complete each timeline phase as quickly as possible without compromising any step in the process. Please refer to this page for the full timeline. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Why must I see a doctor to get a wheelchair from NSM?
Our clients have mobility challenges and are referred to us by therapists and physicians to receive mobility solutions that meets all their unique needs. If you need a wheelchair, your best plan is to talk with your physician or therapist and get a thorough evaluation from a qualified Rehab Technology Supplier (RTS).
What if my medical condition changes?
Contact your local NSM branch and notify us of any changes that may affect the proper fit and function of your chair.
Are there any dangers in using an off-the-shelf wheelchair?
Definitely. A standard or not customized chair can cause more harm than good. People come in all shapes and sizes; their chairs must be designed to fit them. In severe situations, a standard or not customized chair may:
- Cause significant physiological and psychological problems
- Lead to an increase in dependence because it’s not used due to lack of comfort
- Cause pressure sores, or decubitus, due to improper cushioning
- Become obsolete quickly if not configured to “grow with the child”
- Become a major expense to replace or reconfigure, because most funding sources will only reimburse for a new chair every five years.
Do I have a choice of which mobility solutions company to use?
The choice of a wheeled mobility supplier is yours. Discuss your decision with your physician and therapist.
