I recently had an eye visit with Dr. Chris, and everything about it was exceptional. Starting off with the woman at the front desk who was very nice and helpful. All the questions i had, she could answer. Following her was the very nice woman who performed the many tests on my eyes. She explained everything very thoroughly, which the tests go by quickly. After tests I was brought to Dr. Chris who did an amazing job with showing me the images of my eyes and explaining what exactly each of the tests were looking for. The way he explained everything to me made the informational very easy to understand. After the talk with him I was brought to the final lady who helped me pick out glasses. She was extremely helpful as well, with explaining the different costs, insurance, shapes, ect. Overall, I would rate my visit a 10/10 and I will definitely be coming back for my next appointment.

If I could give 0 that would be preferred. Do not recommend due to the receptionist. My child was seen here the staff that did his testing and Dr. Ratliff were great. However the lady who helped chose his frames etc acted like we were a bother to her as we wanted the frames that his insurance would cover. Then when leaving I stood in line to try and book his appointment for next year, the receptionist didn't even let me finish my sentence and put her hand up and in a waiting room full of people said " we don't let people with Medicad or Medicare book out that far. Nothing you have done but some of them ruin it for the rest of you all".
My child recieves this insurance because he is disabled and booking out that far in advance helps me to ensure he gets his appointments that is only needed once a year so I can book his therapies around that appointment.. But it's ok clearly they don't need medicaid or Medicare patients business we will move it elsewhere next year.

While the optometrists at this practice provide excellent medical care, the billing and optical shop practices are another story.
During my recent visit, the technicians insisted on performing multiple expensive, optional machine tests. I explicitly stated that my insurance would not cover these and that I did not want them, but I was told they were mandatory for a full exam. The high out-of-pocket costs for these extra tests, after my coverage is utilized were withheld until I was at the checkout desk.
The checkout process is combined with their in-house glasses shop, where there is pressure to purchase frames from them and not elsewhere. When discussing costs, I was provided with vague answers while someone was typing on a keyboard and was further pushed to browse frames without explaining my actual coverage. The frame prices are printed on tiny, smudged stickers that are difficult to read for someone visiting an eye doctor.
When the total for the frames came out to a lot more than standard, the employee offered no assistance, budget options, or breakdowns of the costs even when asked.
After I declined the frame purchase due to the high cost, I got no reaction and the worker just printed my prescription, charged me full price for the unwanted tests, and rushed me out. I wound up getting very affordable and good quality frames and lens elsewhere.
Sadly, even though the optometrists are experts and overly friendly, I still have to recommend looking elsewhere.
