Vaccinations
Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.
This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.
This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.
This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.
This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.
This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.
There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.
These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.
This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.
These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.
Physical & Wellness Screenings
Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.
When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.
Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.
Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.
Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

I just tried to return a package of non dairy mozzarella cheese that when I opened it, discovered mold. I understand they have a no return policy without receipt but I had a snapshot of my receipt and they still wouldn't return it. I left it and told them they no to to way better quality control. I had obviously just bought it so the fact they we wouldn't even let me exchange it affirmed my decision to no longer shop at that pick and save.

I’ve been coming to this pharmacy for years and I’ve always had a pleasant experience with their costumer service, until today.
My daughter has cellulitis/infection and I came in to pick up her antibiotics for it as well as her inhaler. My sister called me to see what the doctor said as I was walking up to the counter. There were two young employees working, Tyler and a blonde female of whom I didn’t see her badge close enough to catch her name. They each looked at me while casually talking to each other then went to their own computers.I stood at the counter while telling my sister I was picking up the antibiotics and what the doctor said. I said twice, that I was just waiting for one of the pharmacy techs/pharmacists to come to the counter and I assumed they were busy so I was standing there waiting. A few minutes go by and an older gentlemen comes to the counter behind me. The pharmacy employee (not sure if it was a tech or pharmacist) named Tyler came over with an attitude and stated, “can you move so we can take the guy behind you”? I looked at him in question, hung up the phone without saying bye and asked (with money in my hand) I’m sorry but I’ve been standing here for the past 10 minutes, why am I not being taken next? He replies with a cocky smirk, “well you were on the phone”. I apologized and said you could have came up and easily said hi, and I would have hung up, I was explaining what was going on and waiting for you to acknowledge me. He didn’t seem to care and coped an attitude even more with me. Completely disrespectful. I’ve never experienced that kind of disrespect from someone at this pharmacy. Many years ago I worked as a pharmacy tech prior to starting nursing and clinical research, and I have never treated a customer like that. Nor have I ever seen a coworker purposefully ignore someone because they walked up to the counter on the phone, explaining to a family member what’s going on with their child. Mind you, I’m also standing there with my two young children listening to his demeanor.
I can only imagine the attitude Tyler brings to others. I’ll definitely stick to Walgreens from now on, or even Walmart after that.
