We had a less-than-impressive experience here from start to finish.
About a week ago, we came in to order glasses for my son. I don't recall anyone greeting us when we walked in, but since we had our toddlers with us, we were busy getting them settled, so it wasn't a big deal. We browsed the frames and eventually had to ask for a tray to hold the pairs we wanted to try.
Once we were ready, an employee brought us to a table. Unfortunately, the experience felt very rushed. There was little explanation of the available promotions, lens options, or additional features. She briefly mentioned the type of lenses we were getting and then immediately moved on to payment. I actually had to stop the process and ask what upgrades were available, specifically transition lenses, because they were never discussed. We ended up adding that feature, but I was surprised it wasn't offered or explained from the beginning. She wasn't rude—she simply didn't seem interested in taking the time to educate us or provide much customer service.
We returned this weekend to pick up the glasses, and the experience was much the same. Again, no one greeted us as we entered. I was alone with my toddlers this time, and although two employees were at the front desk, neither acknowledged us until one finally asked if I needed something. I told her we were picking up my son's glasses.
She disappeared into the back for a while, returned, cleaned the glasses, and handed them to me while I was still standing near the front. She told me to have my son try them on to make sure they fit. I was a little surprised because, in my previous experiences at optical shops, we're usually brought to a fitting table where someone properly checks the fit and makes any needed adjustments. I asked if this was their normal process, and although she said yes, I don't think she understood what I was asking.
After my son tried them on, the same employee eventually came over and asked if they needed adjustments. I said yes, and while she was helping, I had to remind her that we were actually picking up two pairs of glasses because she wasn't aware. Shortly afterward, the employee who had helped us the week before came over, handed my son the second pair, asked if they felt okay, and within seconds gave us the glasses, cases, and sent us on our way.
Overall, I was genuinely disappointed by the lack of customer service. No one was outwardly rude, but every interaction felt rushed, impersonal, and lacking the level of care I'd expect when purchasing eyewear. First impressions matter, and unfortunately ours was not a positive one. We chose this location because of its strong reviews after my son's previous optical shop closed, but based on our experience, we won't be returning
