  My husband and myself had our scheduled annual exam as new patients. During our exams the Dr. constantly confirmed that everything "looked good". A few days after our appointments we received notice from our insurance company that a portion of our claim will not be paid. Much to our surprise we are being charged for extra tests the Dr. ran. After speaking with a staff member , apparently he "saw something that needed a closer look". I find it odd that we both needed these extra tests. At no time (to either of us) did he indicate an issue. Now we are faced with $175.00 out of pocket for the additional tests. I did call to contest this charge and was told if unpaid it will go to collections. I feel that we should have been informed during the exam the need for additional testing. This type of practice just seems suspicious to me.

  Dr. Piffl and his staff go over and above to help with a patient's needs. I had a referral for Lasix from Dr. Piffl several years ago and have had marvelous results. They also provide free adjustments for glasses that my Dad had issued through the VA. They have been kind and professional with my Dad's cognitive issues as well. They are the best!

  Made my 12 year old niece cry during a contact fitting. He was extremely rude and just plain mean. Never going back.

  Charged me a ton of money just for lenses in my old frames and then they weren't right and still aren't right. I can't even wear them because they're so bad. I paid a bunch of money for glasses I can't even wear. Then when I did call about not being able to see right the lady at the front desk was so rude! I won't be back.
