I recently had an MRI completed here. The staff was great and crystal walked me through the entire process and helped me handle any anxiety I may have had.

Went here for my anatomy scan. First, I was told to ācome aloneā as my husband was not allowed to come. Fine. I told the ultrasound tech that we were NOT finding out the gender; I kid you not, no longer than 30 seconds after we finished that conversation we began the ultrasound and one of the first things out of her mouth was āoh! And thereās a wiener!ā
Are you kidding me? You can just undo that. This has caused so much upset, you canāt even begin to imagine. And at least use anatomically correct language; what adult says āwienerā?
Oh yes, and half of the rest of my ultrasound was filled with her political beliefs. Lovely.
Lastly, they donāt even print ultrasound pictures, like come ON!

Great experience! Cash price was reasonable and service was great! I went in for an MRI of my neck, and I felt like I was in good hands!
Frequently Asked Questions About Kenosha Radiology Center
What if I am claustrophobic?
Many patients who experience claustrophobia are still able to undergo examinations in our 3T MRI. If anxiety occurs at the beginning of the procedure, we can administer a mild sedative, such as valium. Patients requiring sedation should arrange for transportation. For those with severe claustrophobia, our open MRI is available as an alternative option.
What is the difference between the 3T and open MRI?
The 3T MRI provides superior image quality, utilizing the most powerful magnet available for patient care. Its enhanced anatomical detail allows radiologists to detect abnormalities that may be missed by less powerful magnets. While the 3T is a closed magnet, its wider and shorter bore design is more accommodating for claustrophobic patients. The open MRI, on the other hand, offers visibility into the room during the exam, making it suitable for most claustrophobic patients without medication. Although the open MRI produces excellent images, they are not comparable to those of the 3T, and the scan duration is typically twice as long.
What if I have metal in my body? Can I still have an MRI?
The majority of patients with internal metal can safely undergo MRI scans. However, there are exceptions, including most pacemakers and many types of stimulators. It's important to inform our staff about any metal implants or devices prior to your examination.
What if I've had dental work? Can I still have an MRI?
Dental work is generally safe for MRI procedures. However, certain dental work may interfere with image quality, particularly for head or neck scans. It's advisable to inform our technologists about any recent dental procedures before your examination.
How do I know if you take my insurance?
We verify insurance benefits when you schedule your appointment. Our facility accepts most insurance plans, and we typically confirm coverage during the initial call. If any issues arise after contacting your insurance company, we will promptly notify you.
Can I pay my bill online?
Yes, online bill payment is available. To make a payment, please visit our billing website at https://www.patientnotebook.com/KenoshaRadiologyCenter/Enhanced/SendMoney/MakePayment.
What does ACR accreditation mean?
The American College of Radiology (ACR) establishes standards and guidelines for radiology practices. ACR certification indicates that a practice meets or exceeds current recommendations for each modality, such as MRI, CT, mammography, and ultrasound. These standards encompass equipment performance, image quality, and staff qualifications, among other criteria.
How do I get my images or reports?
If you require images for your doctor or personal records, we can create a CD before you depart, which usually takes just a few minutes. For report copies, we ask for 24 hours' notice. You may collect your report once it's completed.
What options are available if I am claustrophobic and need an MRI?
Patients with claustrophobia can undergo examinations in our 3T MRI with a mild sedative if necessary. For severe cases, an open MRI is available as an alternative.
How do the 3T MRI and open MRI differ at Kenosha Radiology Center?
The 3T MRI offers superior image quality with a powerful magnet and a wider, shorter bore for comfort. The open MRI allows visibility into the room and is suitable for most claustrophobic patients, though it takes longer and has slightly less image clarity.
Can patients with metal implants safely have an MRI at Kenosha Radiology Center?
Most patients with internal metal can safely undergo MRI scans, but exceptions include most pacemakers and certain stimulators. Inform staff about any metal implants before the exam.
Is dental work a concern when getting an MRI scan here?
Dental work is usually safe for MRI procedures; however, it may affect image quality for head or neck scans. Inform technologists about any recent dental work before your exam.
