I was originally gonna make my order online for new frames and lens. The order came up to $2xx online. But I decided to go in-store in hopes of speeding up the process etc.
I went to the store in Janesville with my vision insurance to buy new lenses only. The Assistant Manager quoted me $6xx, then $3xx and then $2xx for lenses! She said that included my vision insurance. She even tried to sell me all these extra things I didn't want. Before she quoted me the $2xx for the lens, she made the comment that she had to add some special coating to them, she said it was required.
Which I knew was a lie because I had made an order online on the Lenscrafters website before I went to the store and I was never required to add anything to my lens.
After refusing to buy the lenses in-store, i went home and ordered the same frames, and new prescription lenses for $2xx. While doing so, I looked at my prescription and in the notes, it read, "Recommended AR Coating" not "Required" like she had said.
So if you go here, be careful as it seems like they like to tell you things are required when its not and is not truthful on the pricing and billing.

I worked with Charee at the store in Janesville. She was very helpful during the whole process. She pointed out where all the different women's eyeglasses were located and the pricing. Then she gave me a tray to put my choices in and meet her when I had an idea of what I wanted. We sat down together to try them on and decide. She also was able to show me the different colors the glasses came in and help select a color. Charee has been with the store for over 25 years so she is very knowledgeable about the ins-and-outs of the various lens features. She told me all about these features and gave me the prices so I could make an informed decision about my lens features. I now know a lot more about progressive lenses, anti-reflection treatments, and blue blockers. I was then able to make good decisions on what I wanted for my regular glasses and my sunglasses. Would recommend Charee to any of my family and friends who are looking for glasses. I would give her a rating of 10 ++++!

Amy, the store manager, was wonderful and explained everything so well! It was pretty close to closing time and she didn’t seem to rush and took time with us like she had no clock. Great experience due to her honesty and helpfulness.

I had a great experience at the Janesville LensCrafters. The store is very new and clean, which always makes the experience more enjoyable
Madeline and Dr. C took excellent care of me through the eye exam process and I feel like they nailed my prescription. My one recommendation would be to schedule an exam early in the day during the week if possible. In the past, I've had mixed experiences with afternoon exams when the office is much busier and prone to delays in the schedule

I received a warm welcome when I entered the building. Everything was explained clearly from start to finish, and the entire process went very smoothly. They were incredibly patient while I picked out my frames, which made the experience even better. I had a great experience with everyone there and will definitely return for future needs.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
