- EHErik HalvorsonMay 11, 20261.0Went here for the first time in a decade. Last time they refused to use my insurance for the contact exam, until I explained that it was covered and the man reversed the $200 up charge when he ‘found’ my insurance. This time, about a month ago, they charged me for a contact lens fitting when I specifically marked no contact lens fitting on the initial paperwork. Which i advised of and showed them at checkout. I don’t know if it’s just me they try to nickel and dime or everyone but be careful when you get your invoice.
- AMAndrew MAug 8, 20201.0Aweful experience. I had an eye exam where the Dr. told me my eyesight had improved significantly and I no longer had astigmatism. He gave me a RX for contacts and I couldn't see. I went back to my 3 year old RX. I ran out of contacts and wanted a new RX. The gal did a fine job and confirmed I did have astigmatism (I don't get the poor exam money back). The computers were down so I waited 45 minutes for the gal to process my insurance and trial pair. I left frustrated and realized after I got home she never gave me my RX, only my recipet. I figured I'd ask for it when I went in to pick up the trial contacts. It's now been 3 weeks and the trials have not come in. I wanted to order contacts online and needed my prescription. I called and asked if they could email it to me and the gal said "ha! We'll try but it doesn't usually work" (they had emailed me my old RX a month prior). I never received an email. I went back into the store and got a paper copy. I scanned it and submitted it with my online order. The online supplier said they have been trying to contact the Dr. to verify the RX and haven't been able to get ahold of them. Weird!!! I'll never be back and will steer everyone I know away from this place.
