  I do not even know where to begin. I recently switched to Downtown Family Dental of Baraboo after spending nearly a decade with another "corporate" dentist. Sometimes in life we become complacent with what we have because it is just comfortable and routine. A situation with my former "corporate" dentist finally concerned me enough to look elsewhere for dental care. I want to thank my old dental office for putting me in this situation as it was the best thing that could have ever happened. My dental care is now handled by Dr. Amanda Ganshert and her awesome staff at Downtown Family Dental of Baraboo. Folks, the care I am receiving far exceeds any experience I have encountered at any dental office in my 67 years of life. The attention to detail and concern for your care is just incredible. It is so obvious that the top priority at Downtown Family Dental is your dental health. The facility is welcoming and comforting. The decor alone makes you feel at home. The greeting from the staff is genuine and sincere. Once you make your way to the back for treatment you will be blown away. I cannot imagine the time, preparation and money that was invested to make this dental facility probably one of the top-rated facilities in all dental care. The facility is SPOTLESS. The equipment is no doubt state of the art and most likely as current as any dental office you will ever visit. I could go on and on, but I think you get it. I want to thank Dr Amanda. Her chairside manner is friendly, pleasant, caring, not rushed and honest, all with a smile. I am so pleased to be able to call her my dentist. Let's talk about Ryan. I am pretty sure that this guy NEVER has a bad day. Ryan will review your treatment plan, insurance coverage if you have it and what to expect moving forward. There are absolutely NO SURPRISES at this dentist. What a breath of fresh air. When you are done with Ryan you will want to hug him. He might be one of the nicest people I have ever met. Thank you to Bobbie. Folks, Bobbie knows her stuff. This is an experienced technician who is thorough and incredibly full of knowledge. She makes every procedure as easy as possible. In addition, she is extremely likeable. To the staff that greeted me upon arrival. Thank you for knowing my name. That initial greeting sets the tone for the entire visit. You all were so friendly and welcoming. If you are on the fence about your current dentist, please pick up the phone and switch to Family Dental. I was so fortunate that they were taking new patients. After becoming a patient with Family Dental there is no way any other dentist and staff could live up to these folks.   This place is Fantastic!! Every single employee I encountered or spoke to on the phone was terrific! I received care, that included a thorough explanation in a non rushed manner, with time to ask questions if I had them. This practice has it right with customer care and service! I am glad I found them. Look them up if you are in need of a dental office, you will be glad you did!

  Thank the universe I got a second opinion and saved myself from six unnecessary fillings. Unfortunately two teeth were filled at this location with massive fillings, without need, one cracked because the remaining tooth wall was so thin, and I now need a crown. Thankfully, all other areas of small and mild decay can be treated and reversed with remineralization and monitored at six month cleanings. This could have been the case for the two teeth that were unnecessarily filled. I am absolutely devastated that I fell for the urgency relayed by staff and compromised the integrity of two teeth. I’ve been in pain since day one of the fillings and can’t chew on the affected side. Please, do better. Patients with mild and small areas of decay should be encouraged to remineralize and reverse the decay with good home care versus fillings, but quite obviously, that method doesn’t result in business revenue. Remineralization was not discussed as an option. Per my new dentist, fillings - when absolutely necessary - should be as small as possible so the tooth integrity remains intact. For patients: do your research, listen to your gut, and pause if you feel like you’re being pushed into procedures too quickly.

  As an (embarrassed) adult who is afraid of the dentist, this place gave me so much comfort! The staff is so friendly, the hygienists are thorough and efficient, and the dentist is brilliant! I have never been so cared for at a dental establishment!! The whole operation is run like a well-oiled machine and you can tell!!!!
