I don't remember which doctor I saw. It was in early March, though. I had a relatively minor issue with a toenail that I was referred by my endocrinologist for (diabetics have to be a little more careful with feet). They took a culture of it, and told I would get a call. I never got a call. I've gotten many emails and texts about the bill I need to pay, though. Within the texts and emails, the clinic phone number is listed, and I was encouraged to call with questions. Calling, however, means listening to a series of menus, most of which are redundant. Callers have the option to press a number specifically for paying a bill on the first menu.....and also on menus 2 through 5. At the 6th menu, I then waited on hold listening to Pachelbel's Canon in D for 6 minutes, after which I then spoke with someone in finance who could not access anything other than accounts. She did seem sympathetic, and attempted to transfer me to the front desk, explaining that pressing the "appointments" option is a good "shortcut" for avoiding the long holds. I then went into another phone queue, and heard several commercials for the clinic. These commercials claim open availability for seeing patients within 24 to 48 hours. I found this humorous, because if that is the case, one would think getting an actual scheduler/receptionist on the phone wouldn't be this difficult. I also heard the option, at least three times, to press a number to get a call back without losing my place in line. Having tried that before (and getting no call back), I decided to stay on hold this time. After about 8 more minutes, the recordings stopped, and I heard a ringing tone. After 6 rings, the call disconnected from their end. Not mine. Which, coincidentally, also made it impossible to stay on the line to complete a customer satisfaction survey. : ) So, here it is. I'm done trying to contact this clinic to get a real person on the phone, and I have even given up trying to get any information about my toe. They should kindly forget about my bill and call it even.
