Sleep Apnea Treatment

Sleep apnea is a sleep disorder in which breathing repeatedly stops and starts during sleep. Oral appliances or surgical procedures can help open the airways, improving sleep quality and reducing the health risks associated with obstructive sleep apnea.

Sinus Lift

A sinus lift, also called sinus augmentation, is a surgical procedure that adds bone to the upper jaw in the area of the molars and premolars. The sinus membrane is gently lifted to make space for the new bone material, which helps create a solid foundation for dental implants. This procedure is often necessary when there isn’t enough natural bone height in the upper jaw or when the sinuses are too close to the jaw for implants to be placed safely.

Laser Dentistry

Laser in Sleep medicine is used on lip and tongue tie releases called Frenectomy or Frenotomy. It is used with local anesthesia same as the one used during dental procedures. On some instances Myofunctional therapy is conducted prior to the release of the tethered oral tissues.

TMJ

TMJ disorders affect the joint connecting the jaw to the skull, leading to pain, discomfort, or difficulty in moving the jaw. Treatment may involve therapies such as medication, physical therapy, oral appliances, or in severe cases, surgery to restore normal function and alleviate symptoms.

Myofunctional Therapy

Myofunctional Therapy is an adjunct therapy, conducted by a licensed and trained Myofunctional Therapist, focusing on the head and face muscles. Once diagnosed by a medical or dental doctor this therapy is conducted to support the natural breathing of the individual.

Guided Growth

Children and teens are growing at a rapid rate during the growth spurts and the underdevelopment of the craniofacial bones can be guided to optimize their genetic potential. An underdevelopment may be a genetic, environmental or habit triggered that contributes to breathing, airway and sleep dysfunctions. The poor or slow development of the craniofacial bones of a growing individual can contribute to parafunctional and functional habits that will only trigger continued growth deficiencies. These then in the future show up as symptoms involving pain and discomfort. The early intervention (Guided Growth) can be conducted the earliest time identified and assisted by dentists, medical doctors and allied medical professionals.
