Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

This is a highly unprofessional pharmacy. They refuse to fill prescriptions that are provided through telehealth services. Instead of calling me about their policy, they just didn’t fill it. I had to call and ask about the status. In addition, when I called early in the morning I kept being put on hold.

My go to pharmacy for years. There is the one lady with the eye thing that can be rude, but I understand, as the neighborhood people in this area can be super rude.

I just spoke on the phone with a woman who works here. She was extremely rude and dismissive to me, unprompted. I called to see if my prescription was in stock. She told me that they didn't have the medication. No big deal - my medication was out of stock last month as well, and the male employee I spoke with last month was able to check if nearby Fred Meyer pharmacies had it in stock. It did not take him very long to do this and it was helpful for me because I did not have to waste my time calling multiple pharmacies to find one that had my medication in stock. So I asked the female employee I spoke with today if she could check for me if the Shoreline Fred Meyer had my medication in stock. She told me that my medication has been backordered at all Fred Meyer locations for the past 2 months (not true). I explained that when I called last month, her coworker checked the stock at Shoreline and I was able to pick up my prescription there. She told me that I have to call them myself and ask. I explained again that when I called last month, her coworker was able to check the stock at Shoreline, and asked a third time if she could check, so that I don't have to call multiple pharmacies to find my prescription. She muttered something under her breath while I was talking, then she said, "I'll check." A few seconds later, she said, "They don't have it in stock." It was clear to me that she did not take the time to actually check. Right after I got off the phone with her, I called the Shoreline Fred Meyer pharmacy and yes, they DO have my medication in stock. So she lied to me for no apparent reason. She should not be in a customer service role, let alone one where she can delay patients getting their medications.
