Avoid this StretchLab location. To be clear, the young men and women who actually perform the stretches were not the problem. They were courteous and professional. The failure here is entirely with management and the way this location handles billing and customer service. After my introductory stretch, I purchased a package of four additional stretches. At no point was it explained to me that I was being enrolled in a recurring membership that would automatically charge me more than $200 per month. I discovered the recurring charge only when I saw the charge hit my credit card. That is an unacceptable way to sell a recurring service. I immediately began trying to resolve the issue. I made multiple phone calls and sent multiple messages. I was repeatedly promised a callback. Those promises were repeatedly ignored. I received only one callback from the manager. During that call, the manager told me I needed to send an email requesting that the recurring billing be stopped. I also asked directly about reversing the charge that had just been placed on my credit card—the very charge that alerted me to the fact that I had apparently been enrolled in a recurring service. The manager repeatedly avoided addressing the refund until I pressed the issue. Eventually, he acknowledged that the charge would need to be reversed. It never was. I continued calling and emailing. Again and again, I was told someone would get back to me. They didn’t. No meaningful follow-up. No resolution. No refund. In the end, I had to go through my bank to dispute the charge myself and block further billing from this business. That is an extraordinary amount of effort for a customer simply trying to stop a service they did not knowingly agree to and recover a charge management acknowledged should be reversed. This isn’t a problem with the people doing the stretches. It’s a management problem. If management cannot clearly communicate that a customer is signing up for a recurring $200+ monthly charge—and then cannot even follow through on a promised refund or return a customer’s calls—then they have a serious customer-service problem. There are plenty of businesses that deserve your money. Based on my experience, StretchLab Mercer Island is not one of them. I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

I’m not from the Seattle area and am visiting for about a month. I’m actually a current StretchLab member in my hometown and have had such a great experience there that I left them a five-star review. Unfortunately, my experience with the Mercer Island location was the complete opposite. While scheduling online, I accidentally booked my appointment at the Mercer Island studio instead of another nearby location. I didn’t realize my mistake until I arrived at the other studio. As soon as I discovered the error, I immediately called the Mercer Island location multiple times asking for someone to call me back so I could cancel. Because of the distance and Seattle traffic, there was simply no way I could make it to Mercer Island in time. When I finally reached someone, I was told, “That’s our policy. There are no exceptions. There’s nothing we can do.” I asked to speak with the manager or owner because I hoped someone would exercise a little discretion. Instead, I never received a phone call—only a text message saying there was nothing they could do. I disagree. There was something they could have done. Policies exist to provide consistency, but good customer service also allows room for common sense and compassion. This wasn’t someone repeatedly missing appointments or canceling at the last minute out of convenience. It was an honest mistake by an out-of-town customer who called immediately after realizing the error. As a business owner myself, I understand how important appointment policies are. My own business depends on people showing up. But I’ve also learned that occasionally extending grace to someone who makes a genuine mistake builds far more goodwill than rigidly enforcing a policy. My warning to prospective customers is simple: if you book with the Mercer Island location, be aware that there appears to be little flexibility if you make an honest scheduling mistake. Based on my experience, don’t expect understanding or an attempt to help find a reasonable solution. It’s disappointing because I know firsthand how great the StretchLab brand can be. Unfortunately, this particular location fell far short of the customer service I’ve come to expect.

I live all the way in North Bend and drive to Mercer Island every other week to see Arathi. She is amazing and always fixes me. I workout 5 days a weeks and run 4-5 times a week. Every time I see her, she re-aligns me! Will continue to see her and so worth the drive! Been seeing her for 4 plus months now.

I have been going to StretchLab on MI for a while now and have noticed a big difference in my flexibility. Arthi is frequently my flexologist and does a great job. She is very knowledgeable and listens to my areas of concern. I always feel great after our sessions.

I had an introductory appointment with Gabe and it was a really positive experience. I mentioned my targeted areas and he explained the stretches he would use and why they would be helpful. He was easy to talk to and the stretches resulted in less recovery time and more flexibility for the day.
