Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

One of the worst pharmacies I’ve ever had the pleasure to go to. I call in a refill days early and then I call to see if it’s ready. I was told it will be in 20 minutes. Get there and I’m told it’s out of stock. This has happened twice. I emailed pharmacy coordinator and didn’t receive a reply. Here to pick up new prescription that my doctor prescribed on Monday. It’s now the following Monday. Prescription not filled yet! I’m told to wait 25 minutes! Unbelievable!

I have no idea what this places issue is anymore. Prescriptions are bounced back to the Dr., or kicked backwards over and over and over again. How can you keep kicking important medications like insulin back and not contact the client when they're out of the prescription? Now it seems thus pharmacy just cancels prescriptions that are due gir refilling, especially AFTER the dr has submitted the refill(s)? Time and time again you never seem to be able to fill anything without delaying prescriptions several times. If you are having supply issues, fibd someone else to supply your customers. I left Bartel because they were doing what you are doing now, granted before rite aid took barrels over they were good, but now your becoming worse than bartels. Start taking care of your customers, hire personal with brains, and figure it out. Unless your upset because you got denied the merger with Albertsons/Safeway and your punishing people who had nothing to for with the merger denial just to prove you have power over everyone. If you cannot handle prescriptions anymore, then close that part of your operation.

I'm becoming increasingly disappointed with this pharmacy. Every prescription I'm bringing in, no matter what it seems to be, is never in stock and needs to be sent in. I'm gonna end up switching to either Bartell or the Federal Way Fred Meyer pharmacy

They have always been helpful and willing to find the best way to get my medications at the best price when times were tight. This pharmacy is one reason I've been shopping at this location for over ten years, even during the years when I lived closer to other Fred Meyers locations.
