  1 star rating because 0 stars is not an option. Dr Dechter seems good but the administrative staff are incompetent. Both referrals (for MRI and injections) were screwed up, each time costing me weeks of unnecessary waiting. The last straw was being told "we are waiting for insurance approval" for 3 straight weeks. My next call was to my insurance, only to find out they had no submission from BFOA. An immediate call to the BFOA front office solidified my lack of confidence in their ability to provide high quality care. The administration does not care about your pain or your well being, and are very content to let you wait it out. Without my constant calls, I'm not sure if I would have ever been seen. If your preference is being miserable for weeks in between appointments or procedures, this is the office for you.

  The doctor was very informative and helpful. It would’ve been helpful if there was a pre-registration via email to text instead of being handed a tablet and trying it complete questions sitting in a waiting room

  Great experience, easy scheduling, got in quickly. Dr. Dechter was very pleasant, very knowledgeable and gave me many treatment options to consider for my condition. He explained everything in terms that I could easily understand, I appreciated the time that he spent with me to ensure I knew my options and where I was going next.

  I recently had shoulder replacement surgery on my right shoulder by Dr. Josh Dworkin. I have to admit that I was a little nervous and skeptical about needing a full shoulder replacement, so I got 2 other doctors' opinions and yes, all 3 had the same opinion. Bone on bone with no Cartlidge left in either shoulder, so only one option. Dr Dworkin did the surgery on 4/29/26 and 3 months later I'm doing almost anything I want with the exception of heavy lifting for now. I haven't had any shoulder pain for the past 2 months and have very good range of motion already! I was skeptical, but now I'm very happy with the results. The only thing that hurts now is my left shoulder and I'm actually looking forward to getting that one replaced in the near future so I can be pain free in both shoulders and able to do things once again that have bothered me for years. Dr Dworkin does amazing work, and I highly recommend him to anyone considering shoulder surgery! He does nice "stitching" work too, after only 3 months my scar is barely noticeable!

  The front desk staff was accommodating and pleasant. When I got to my exam room the assistant efficiently got to the information that the doctor would need and let me know that a medical student/resident would be coming in first. I was impressed by her knowledge, interest in what I had to say and her exam. When Dr. Dechter came in he got right to the point yet allowed comfortable time to interact with him. He has a wide range of interests and abilities for interventional pain management. I am a retired family physician and was so pleased to have an interventional specialist who has a wide range of knowledge and am looking forward to his work up and treatment recommendations.
