Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

I really wish there were a way to give 0 stars. This was one of the worst pharmacy experiences I’ve ever had. The management was extremely disorganized, and the staff were incredibly rude and lacking in compassion. When I arrived to pick up my prescriptions, I was told they could only give me two out of the three medications that had been prescribed. They claimed another pharmacy had already processed the third prescription and that their request had been rejected. They then told me I would need to pay an additional $40+ to receive the medication I still needed. I went to the other pharmacy to verify the issue, and their staff told me they never received that prescription in their system and had no record of the medication at all. I double-checked everything in MyChart and also contacted my provider who prescribed the medication. Both confirmed that the prescription had been sent to this Fred Meyer pharmacy. Despite that, the pharmacy still refused to help and instead wanted to charge me extra. When I called back for clarification, the staff kept interrupting me, raising their voices, and trying to end the call instead of helping resolve the issue. I can understand if there was a system issue or processing problem. Technology problems happen. But what I cannot understand is the complete lack of empathy and professionalism. I had just come out of the ER, was in severe pain, and urgently needed my medication. A simple apology, some patience, or even basic compassion would have gone a long way. Instead, I felt dismissed and treated with no care at all. I would absolutely not recommend this pharmacy to anyone.

The staff are hardworking and helpful, but the organization let them, and me down. I went online to use the Fred Meyer app to refill my prescription (as I've done successfully before) but even though the app schedules the refill, later it disappears. Twice. Finally I called the 800 help number, was told to call another number. That is answered by a company called Bioplus which has apparently picked up this responsibility, and I'm not in their system. Major fail. I'll go to the pharmacy, stand in line, and see if the overworked Pharmacist can figure out this corporate screwup.

Kroger closed the Redmond location despite it being busy. The least they could do is offer longer hours at the only other Fred Meyer pharmacy within a 40 minute drive. So glad they're optimizing shareholder value at the expense of customer experience and convenience.
