Switched insurance only to find out I could no longer use Walgreens and am stuck with Safeway. The woman who always answers the phone is absolutely unbearable. She loses her temper and starts raising her voice at you, is clearly frustrated and unable to behave appropriately in her role. I’m asking perfectly valid questions-why hasn’t the medication been ordered if you’ve had the prescription for over a week and it’s out of stock? Why does the refill date keep changing? When is it going to be in stock? And she is clearly irritated by these questions but won’t explain! It’s perfectly reasonable to need to know when your prescription will be ready more than a week after they’ve received it and they are too disorganized and overwhelmed to manage literally anything. Walgreens is a million times better. Somehow they always manage to get medication in on time and can get you your refills when they’re due.

I want to thank the entire staff at the Anacortes Safeway Pharmacy. They went above and beyond to help me on Monday, May 11th. I was on an American Cruise Lines cruise - and was only going to be in port until that evening. By accident, I had left my medicine at home and the staff was wonderful in being sure I got what I needed in terms of a week's worth of several meds so I could be safe on my trip. Thank you for your help and support. It was truly appreciated.

I am a regular shopper at the Anacortes Safeway, have been for over 20 years. My last 7 visits have been very disappointing! I've been over charged on every trip, sale prices are not ringing up at all. I make sure to go on the application every Wednesday morning so I get the sale prices, and digital specials.
Today I was over charged almost $15! And that is unexceptable!

To the people that work here, you are so important and you may not understand this but you have the power of life and death.
My name is Ryan, I am currently experiencing withdrawals from lack of my medication for 3 days for the first time in my life. I have tried to call throughout the weekend starting on Friday up to 6pm on Sunday night while I lay sweating in bed in order to see if my medication has been processed but no one has picked up the phone.
I am grateful for your patience, kindness, and answers when I have the strength to go in person, but now when I needed you the most, I received no answer. If you had asked me to stay on hold for 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, etc, I would have obliged because it is that important.
I'd like to believe I am a strong person so I can endure the brain fog, rapid heart rate, night sweats, and nightmares that result from these withdrawals for the past 3 days, and I know its also on me because I should have never let myself run out of meds but please...please pick up the phone when someone calls because to the people you serve, this could be all the strength they have.
Please, pick up the phone. It could save someone's life.

They’re always super kind and helpful! Of course its a long wait sometimes but that is to be expected because they’re the only pharmacy in town:)

Why is reviewing my Medicare plan every year important?
Reviewing your Medicare plan every year is important because Medicare Advantage (Part C) and Medicare Prescription Drug Plans (Part D) can change annually. These changes may affect your coverage, out-of-pocket costs, and provider network. By reviewing your plan during the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period, you can ensure it still meets your healthcare needs and budget—and switch plans if necessary.
