    The front desk associate, Mia or Meeha definitely lacked professionalism & common courtesy when I had called to speak to their manager this morning. I did give her my name & phone number for their manager to reach back but I don’t expect her to have them reach out due to her tone & lack of communication during our phone call. My first time trying to even get in contact with One Life. Definitely not a good first impression.

    I go to the Onelife Fitness Woodbridge branch, and unfortunately almost every interaction I’ve had with the front desk or management staff has felt rude and dismissive. The latest situation happened this morning. I regularly receive emails saying members can bring a guest for free, and I had also previously confirmed with another front desk employee that the process was simple: bring the guest, they sign in at the front desk, and they can use the gym. This morning, I brought my first guest, but the front desk charged me $20. I found this very confusing and frustrating, especially since my guest had never visited the gym before. I respectfully explained that I had been told the first guest visit would be free, but the employee disagreed. The discussion became so long that I ended up missing my morning yoga class. I was told that the person I needed to speak with would arrive at 9:00 AM. I explained that I should not have to wait an hour and miss my class because of a misunderstanding or lack of clarity around the policy. Despite that, I was still charged. Later, assistant manager Ivory explained a policy that had never been communicated to me and was not written anywhere that I could find: apparently if a guest comes in at 8:00 AM there is a charge, but if they come after 9:00 AM there is no charge because he is there. I found this extremely inconsistent and unprofessional. What upset me most was that no one acknowledged the confusion or took responsibility for the incorrect charge or poor handling of the situation. This is also not the first negative experience I’ve had. On previous occasions, when I informed the front desk about issues such as damaged massage chairs or problems with the LED room, the responses felt reluctant and irritated, as though reporting maintenance concerns was an inconvenience. Overall, I do not appreciate the customer service and behavior I’ve experienced from the front desk and membership staff at this branch. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that there will be improvements in communication, professionalism, and how members are treated.

    One of the greatest Gym Staff of all time! I had been a long time member but I had to cancel my membership for sometime. Thankfully, Darlene was able to help me return as smooth as Michael Jackson Moonwalking on the Moon! Now I’m back and ready to get my work outs in 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

    For the outstanding support and assistance you always provide during my visits to the OneLife Fitness Facility in Woodbridge, VA. Ms. Coleman, you are “top notch” in your position as Assistant Fitness Director. You’re a superb communicator who interacts extremely well with clients, especially senior citizens. Your wonderful assistance in helping me with the compression boot therapy I need for my legs is greatly appreciated. You excellent recommendations for additional exercises will help improve my overall pain in my spine, hips and legs which will enhance my mobility, independence, and daily functioning. Ms. Coleman, you serve as a role model for others to emulate in your field. You always exceed my expectations and I appreciate and thank you again for your outstanding personal assistance. Your positive attitude, empathy and genuine concern to help me in any way possible is greatly appreciated. I will recommend the OneLife Fitness Center in Woodbridge, VA to all my friends, social networks and contacts. Thank you again for your outstanding customer service assistance, empathy and support!

    I want to file a direct complaint about the staff member at the front desk, Kai M. I visited the gym today with a friend who is already a member. My intention was simply to check out the facilities before signing up tomorrow. We arrived at 9:10 AM, with about 50 minutes remaining before closing. Despite this, Kai M refused us entry in a rude and dismissive manner. He gave multiple inconsistent excuses: first claiming there was no staff available, then saying the person in charge of registrations wasn’t there, followed by saying there was no trainer present, and finally telling us to come back the next day in a disrespectful tone. In practice, he denied us access and effectively asked us to leave. We were not asking for anything complicated, just to work out during the remaining open time. Instead, we were met with poor customer service and zero willingness to assist, both toward a current member and a potential new client. We ended up leaving without training and with a very negative impression. Staff behavior like this reflects poorly on the gym and discourages new memberships. Customer-facing employees should be professional, helpful, and respectful, none of which we experienced today.
