My experience at OneLife in Stafford has been absolutely incredible. The facility is very nice and clean and the staff is very friendly. I have done personal training with Missy, one of the OneLife trainers for about 4 years and have never felt better in my body and about my health. I have several chronic illnesses that cause me severe pain, and through my individualized training program I have been able to walk without my crutches most days, which has been life changing. Also, as a Trans person I feel very safe and respected in the facilities. My trainer Missy has worked with me through all my unique medical needs in a way that I had never thought I’d be able to have. I love it here and I am finally enjoying moving and being active for the first time in my life! Yay!

I’ve been with Paige since 2019, about 6 months after my stroke. Her workouts include many of the same exercises I performed with my Physical Therapy sessions. After a year, I could do jumping jacks again (as simple as that is, I had to retrain my left leg to perform that exercise … and jump up on a box). I can also do sprints on the treadmill for short time intervals. Now we’re working on strength and conditioning. She knows what to train me on, working around my physical limitations. In short, she’s fantastic.
Then along came Missy. I had been observing other clients with the “Stretch and Recover” program. So I asked for a session, and I’m glad I did. Missy Szymendera is amazing! These sessions are generally right after I work out with Paige. The benefit of the massage gun on my stroke side, then the stretch workouts have been marvelous. I feel like I’m walking on clouds after most sessions. I highly recommend this program.
Plus the friendliness of the staff is also amazing. Most of the staff know me by name (of course I have been using a trainer there for 7 years). From JJ (the GM), Sarah, JoJo, Alex, Sarina, Allie, Cat, Wendy, Kathy, plus the aforementioned Missy and Paige, and other trainers, they all do a fantastic job. And the cleaning staff work hard to keep the place clean.
You get the picture. Ok, I’ll get off my soapbox now. :)

I can honestly say joining OneLife has been one of the best investments I’ve made for myself and my health. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, motivating, and full of positive energy. The facility is always clean, the equipment is well-maintained, and there’s something for everyone no matter where you are in your fitness journey. Plus, there are some exciting new classes and equipment being introduced soon!!
But what truly sets this gym apart is the staff. My favorite trainer is JoAnn B.! She has truly been a godsend in my personal fitness journey. I’ve participated in one-on-one training, group fitness, and classes with Jo, and I absolutely love working with her. She is incredibly knowledgeable, especially when it comes to the unique challenges women face as they mature. She’s encouraging, motivating, and she genuinely cares about helping people succeed.
JoAnn also instructs Les Mills Sprint classes, which is my favorite class to take. I attend a few days a week and each instructor and Sprint class is different. They all bring something different to the experience. All of the classes I’ve attended are challenging in the best way possible. Sprint is definitely my favorite, with an occasional Body Pump class here and there…
So weather your goal is weight loss, strength training, endurance, or simply becoming healthier, our gym creates a space where you feel supported and inspired to keep showing up. I highly recommend OneLife to anyone looking for more than just a gym. I plan on being a member as long as I’m here in Stafford.
Great gym! Lots of reasons for that - friendly folks, squeaky clean, tons of equipment, loads of classes, super trainers and JoAnne Briggs is at the top of that masterful list!
Started with JoAnne for 3 goals -> lose weight, knock down body fat, and build mass. In short time with JoAnne’s professional guidance, I lost 10 pounds (kept it off too), gained 4 pounds of muscle mass (still increasing), and dropped 6% body fat (damaging visceral fat melting away)!!
Under JoAnne’s firm instruction I’ve lost inches in waist (down 2 sizes) and added inches to my chest and arms. JoAnne has helped me look, feel, and move better. She knows how to motivate for solid results so we are now on to serious goal (dream) of prepping me to compete in a Hyrox next year.
If you got some physical goals or a dream or two then I say go talk with JoAnne at One Life - it will cost a little money but the personal results she helps you achieve are so well worth it.
Onelife Fitness provides quality health and fitness training facilities. I been a member for over 15 years. They’ve made quality upgrades to their facilities and equipment.
