  I have been a patient at EYE CARE AND SURGERY for 37 years! Contacts, Eye Surgery, and everything that I have needed all these years.....very knowledgeable physicians, emergency treatment when I need it, and a great staff! I highly recommend this office. Sarah

  Very pleasant experience. Everyone was friendly and professional. Dr. Selander was so attentive. She took her time and gave me every chance to ask questions. This was the best optometry appointment I can remember.

  I've never seen better eye Drs than I have w both locations which are Blacksburg and Salem/Roanoke. They truly care about your eye health and when I have concerns or issues they get me in and go above and beyond to figure out what is cause my eye issues. Even when not sure they right they will refer you to someone else but I trust them or they wouldn't offer you the option of getting 2nd opinions. The staff is totally amazing at both locations!! I can't thank you ALL enough for everything you have done for me!!😊😇🤗 Best eye care around!!!! You won't be disappointed!! A++++++++++

  I don't mind being seen late, things do happen, but that should not give the practitioner and impetus to rush through an exam and discussion. Did I get to explain everything to my satisfaction? No. Which means the full scope of my related health issues and impact to me from these eye problems could not fit within the limited time of discussion.

  Made an appointment for a LASIK evaluation and was told at multiple points to wear my contact lenses. I arrived for my appointment and while already in the process of an examination did the doctor get surprised that I mentioned LASIK surgery. They had no idea that I was there for that and you’re definitely not supposed to wear contact lenses for at least a week before the evaluation. They claimed they could do part of the evaluation at least though and the rest before I come back for the final step before surgery. However, due to the confusion and overall unorganized state of the clinic that I observed, I no longer felt comfortable having such a delicate operation carried out with them. I let them know this fact and wished to cancel the rest of the process. Now I am being repeatedly asked to pay a $150 eye exam bill for an exam I didn’t want and can’t use for anything (I already had an eye care doctor that just updated my contact lenses prescription prior). Vistar has offered a fully complementary LASIK evaluation that’s good for 6 months and was sure to give me all of the facts before hand. They’re also going to pull my current eye records from my main eye doctor so need for any additional exams.
