WOW! Why would anyone go anywhere else!!! Lily was/is fantastic! Best eye doctor I have ever seen next door, Dr. De Leon ... and absolutely the best glasses and frames at Lenscrafters! No muss no fuss and I would propose the best customer service around. Thank you Lily for making this senior "smile" from the store to the bank!!

This one star is for the eye glasses store. Super annoyed at the glasses store. I drove 30 minutes from Mechanicsville and show my ID that I used for the eye exam. The eye exam part was 4 stars because they were fast but expensive . The eye glasses store told me to call Cigna to ask for my member ID and authorization code even though I already showed them my membership ID. They cannot pull my information from Cigna and tell me to come back. What a waste of time!!! Not coming back to this store and will tell Richmond Police HR not to recommend this store ever again! They added required $39 extra on top of the copayment for the eye exam part too which is weird.

Usually this is my go to spot, however, this trip took a turn for the worst. Everyone smiled in my face, was polite, and provided what I thought was excellent service, even gave me a 'discount' for being a returning shopper. Then, I got home and looked at my receipt. When I got home to log my receipt, I noticed an unusual charge. Apparently a protection plan was added without my knowledge or consent and masked with the supposed discount so I would not notice the blow.
The painful part is I have had several conversations with this particular associate that I will not put on blast, about how I DO NOT WANT the plan on my glasses because one year is not enough time for damage to happen with the product (I do not break my things). We had an entire conversation at the register about how it would be different if it were at least 2 years because that is when wear and tear would start to be noticeable. The entire time that we were talking, apparently he had added the plan and did not say a word.
That cuts deep.
I feel lied to a betrayed as I had grown to love and trust this group of individuals. Now, out of pure respect for myself, I can never shop at this location again. O and for my childs glasses, I was also told that with a warranty return you HAVE to get the same product after I specifically asked if I could change the color of my other pair of glasses since the price and style was still the same. After reading the terms and conditions myself for the protection plan it says something completely different. For transparency, I will leave a screenshot of the guidelines and let you be the judge on if I was lied to or not.

I had a great experience in the purchase of my Meta glasses however I’ve been calling for the last three weeks trying to talk with somebody about some problems. I’m having with my glasses and no one never answers the phone. The automated system says someone’s gonna call me back never happens and this is quite upsetting because I’m a Truck Driver they travels all 48 states and now I have to come back home just to resolve the issue because nobody wants to answer the phone. it seems like I’m getting the runaround to resolve the issue with my meta glasses.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
