  I’ve been a VIDA member for about a year, and I have absolutely enjoyed my experience. I moved to Reston from Los Angeles a year and a half ago, and I have found that the space and the employees are intentional about connection and offer nearly every wellness service. The main entrance feels warm, with soft furniture, tables for eating or working, and a bar where you can order food, smoothies, drinks, etc. I mainly stick to cardio or individual strength training - there's plenty of workout equipment on the 2nd and 3rd floors, so I've never had to wait or skip an exercise. I’ll constructively add that the bathroom/locker/shower space could be tidier. The spa and wellness services have been a highlight. Primarily because of the PEOPLE. I met the lead RN, Khalidah Mohiuddin, six months into my membership, when I was looking to maximize my health. She greeted me kindly and took the time to explain each service they offer. Their services make a meaningful, affordable routine possible. Chantal and Anita seem to lead in ways that empower their staff and make them a meaningful asset to the company. I recommend Ibrahim if you are looking for a sports massage.

  Honestly, I would not recommend this gym. The overall experience, cleanliness, and customer service have been extremely disappointing. I was mortified when I brought a friend to the pool. You could barely see the bottom because the water was full of hair and sunscreen residue that had clearly not been properly cleaned out. For what this gym charges, I expected much better standards. My experience with the manager, Chris Beaudry, and trainer, Hadrien Harroo, was another major reason I decided to leave. I traveled to Germany for a funeral, and when I returned, I discovered that training sessions had been scheduled and marked as completed on my account while I was away. I was also being asked to repurchase packages despite having sessions remaining. I ultimately canceled my month-to-month membership. Despite canceling, I was charged for the following two months. I have called multiple times, left my number for a callback, and sent emails trying to resolve the issue, but getting anyone to actually address it has been incredibly frustrating. This isn’t just about personal training. The cleanliness, customer service, billing, and overall accountability have all been disappointing. I expected much more from a gym at this price point and would personally look elsewhere.

  Stayed at the local Marriott for a few days while in town for business. The hotel staff recommended I try the Vida pool, I’m glad I made time for it. The staff were wonderful and everyone was very friendly. Special thanks to Kriss for her hospitality and for taking the extra step and making me feel comfortable and suggesting good food and cocktails.

  We were looking forward to having access to this facility as part of our stay in Reston. We were disappointed at the cleanliness of the pool and surrounding area. Maybe it was because of the extreme heat and perhaps people didn’t want to get out of the pool when they needed to, but if they can’t keep the pool looking clean, probably best to cancel for the day.

  I went up to the rooftop pool with my family who was visiting for the Fourth of July. We entered using JW Marriott day passes, and my younger brothers, 18 and 20, were kicked out for being under 21. One star for the dumb and unnecessary policy and very rude manager.
