  Unfortunately, this was the worst pharmacy experience I’ve had. I’ve been using the same insurance with CVS for the past 3½ years without any issues. Harris Teeter Pharmacy told me my insurance was rejecting the prescription because of “one person with multiple cardholders” and repeatedly directed me to call my insurance company and resolve it myself. After spending nearly six hours trying to get the medication filled, the issue was still not resolved and the patient was left without the medication. I finally transferred the prescription to CVS, and CVS processed it right away using the same insurance information. The pharmacist assisting us, whose name sounded like Deepali, was also extremely rude and, in my experience, did not seem knowledgeable or interested in helping resolve the issue. Instead of working toward a solution, we were repeatedly sent back to the insurance company. I have been a regular Harris Teeter customer and had actually planned to move more of my prescription refills here. After this first experience with their pharmacy, however, I will be staying with CVS. I strongly encourage Harris Teeter management to review the customer service and training at this pharmacy. A pharmacy is dealing with people’s medications and health, and customers should not have to spend six hours going back and forth only to have another pharmacy process the exact same prescription immediately.

  This is the worst pharacy I have ever dealt with. They charged my expired insurance for a refill even after I had given them weeks in advance my new insurance card info and had asked them to be sure they had deleted the old insutrance and were using the new insurance and they said they were. My old insurance company then came after me to pay for the prescription. When I called Harris Teeter and asked them to reverse the charges and charge my new insurance they claimed they could not. When I tried to speak to a pharmacy manager I got a surly man who claimed he's the manager and he basically said it's my fault and implied I was lying that I gave them my new insurance, which is completely untrue. When I tried to correct him, he shouted at me and refused to do anything and then hung up on me.

  I echo the sentiments of others with regard to the older blond, Caucasian pharmacist. This woman has a particularly unpleasant demeanor and seems to enjoy intentionally complicating the prescription filling process. This is the health CARE industry and she's OBVIOUSLY in the wrong field. For years, I have filled prescriptions with this particular pharmacy location without issue but began encountering this woman end/early 2022/2023. Considering the complaints, I am quite surprised Harris Teeter keeps her on staff. I will be contacting their corporate office to file a formal complaint.
