I must say that from the very beginning to this very day, I am.highly impressed with the knowledge, communication and availability of persons and devices with National Mobility. Kyle has been a stand in trooper from day one and he is excellent at what he does. Everything was explained, questions were answered and demonstrations were remarkable. With his suggestions and kind help, we were able to get the perfect Mobility chair and he even delivered it to ou re front door. Kyle took the time to bring it in piece by piece, put it together and still answer out questions. He is a kind and humble soul and we appreciate him šÆ %. How long does it take to get a new power wheelchair from NSM?

Why must I see a doctor to get a wheelchair from NSM?
Our clients have mobility challenges and are referred to us by therapists and physicians to receive mobility solutions that meets all their unique needs. If you need a wheelchair, your best plan is to talk with your physician or therapist and get a thorough evaluation from a qualified Rehab Technology Supplier (RTS).
What if my medical condition changes?
Contact your local NSM branch and notify us of any changes that may affect the proper fit and function of your chair.
Are there any dangers in using an off-the-shelf wheelchair?
Definitely. A standard or not customized chair can cause more harm than good. People come in all shapes and sizes; their chairs must be designed to fit them. In severe situations, a standard or not customized chair may:
- Cause significant physiological and psychological problems
- Lead to an increase in dependence because itās not used due to lack of comfort
- Cause pressure sores, or decubitus, due to improper cushioning
- Become obsolete quickly if not configured to āgrow with the childā
- Become a major expense to replace or reconfigure, because most funding sources will only reimburse for a new chair every five years.
