  If I could give this place ZERO stars, I absolutely would. I came here on a day pass to see what all the hype was about, and honestly, I’m beyond disappointed. Right from the beginning, I wasn’t even given a waiver to sign. I was basically dismissed, shrugged off, and told to go in. No explanation, no acknowledgment, nothing. Apparently handing someone the paperwork they’re supposed to sign is asking for too much. The staff was unbelievably rude. Tony, in particular, had the nastiest attitude. The overall customer service was just completely unwelcoming. The gym itself could definitely use some attention. I understand it’s relatively affordable, but apparently the low price also means you’re supposed to lower your expectations. Maybe acknowledging customers when they walk in would be a good start. Maybe putting the phones down long enough to interact with members would be another. I came in expecting to understand what all the hype was about. Instead, I left wondering if the “hype” was just everyone being impressed that they survived the customer service experience. Definitely not somewhere I’d want to spend my money.

  The best gym I’ve ever been to. Everything you need and some. Simple rules. Put weights away, wipe down equipment and treat everybody with respect. Staff is cool. And tell Ramsey I put you on at Newport News!

  My husband and I used IA for the 4 short months we were in VA, and I am so upset we couldn’t take the gym with us. This is my favorite gym I have been to for so many reasons: it has an abundance of equipment - I don’t think I ever had to wait for an item I needed; it’s clear that the staff care a lot for the members - I was always happy to see them before and after my workout; and though we didn’t want to, canceling our membership was pain free. If we move back to the city again, no doubt we will restart our membership.

  Friendly staff and cool gym, Ramsey helped me get a week pass so I could work out while I’m in the area. They have other options if you can’t get a month to month membership, so it’s very convenient. Good equipment and clean facility.
