- CKCarey Kelly1 day ago1.0I would not recommend YouFit in Midlothian based on my experience. I signed my minor daughter up after being told by the sales associate that we could cancel at any time before the annual fee was charged the following month. When I attempted to cancel just over a week later, I was suddenly told that my minor daughter had to make the cancellation request herself. I then contacted corporate and waited more than a week for a response. They acknowledged that we had been given incorrect information by the employee, but still refused to waive the upcoming $59 annual fee, even though the membership had only been active for a little over a week and would no longer be used. It was clear the sales associate was not properly trained. She didn’t even know that minors have to be entered into the system differently than adults. As a parent, I also find it concerning that a company would expect a minor to be responsible for entering into or canceling what is essentially a contractual agreement. This entire situation could have been avoided with proper employee training and honest communication at the time of sign-up. Instead, we were given inaccurate information and are now being charged a fee for a membership we attempted to cancel almost immediately.
