Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

Very slow. If a medicine is out of stock, or unique, I've had to wait two weeks for the prescription to be filled or refilled. Website is a ponderous mess. The only positive thing is that the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Horrible pharmacy! Most of the staff lack professionalism and seem unconcerned with their customers well being (except Will, he is great). This pharmacy rarely has medications ready on time. They claim to not receive refills from providers, even though the providers can produce receipt of sending the new order. This pharmacy has sent me text alerts to let me know a prescription is ready and I discover upon arrival at the pharmacy that the medication is actually NOT ready. The last four consecutive times I went to this pharmacy to pick up medications for myself, I was told that my medications would cost more than they should. I figured out the first time this happened that it was their mistake, but they've made the mistake again three more times. Instead of filing with my insurance, they were running my prescriptions through some sort of Kroger prescription discount card, which I never asked for or agreed to use. My prescriptions would have been more expensive through that card than through my insurance. And, to make matters worse, they cannot tell me why this is happening! I've used this pharmacy for years and I've had the same insurance for years, so there is no reason for this to be happening now. I also fill my children's prescriptions at this pharmacy. Last week, I took my son to a medical appointment with an Orthopedic Surgeon. This Orthopedic Surgeon's practice uses a computer system that imports current information about the patient from the computer systems of the patient's primary care physician and the patient's pharmacy. Kroger Pharmacy had my son's medication information mixed up with another person's medication information in their system, so incorrect medication imported to the Orthopedics practice's system and into my son's record. I've never been offered an apology by anyone at Kroger Pharmacy... I was merely told, "We'll try to correct that." TRY!??! This pharmacy does not have a drive up pharmacy window. It has a pneumatic tube system and voice intercom only. There isn't even a monitor so that you can see the pharmacy staff over a camera. You cannot communicate directly with pharmacy staff or see them at all at this pharmacy's drive-thru. It's also fair to point out that this pharmacy's drive-thru system is out of service 60% of the time...and that's not an exaggeration. In fact, it is out of service today, and has been since last week. Earlier this year, it was out of service for 10 weeks. If you are looking for a pharmacy, do yourself a favor... KEEP LOOKING! This pharmacy used to be okay...but it's gone down hill. I am in the process of leaving this pharmacy behind.
