- CGChelsea GaryJun 10, 20265.0We had a wonderful experience working with Amramp for our graduation ceremony. Their team was extremely professional, responsive, and easy to work with throughout the planning process and event day. They ensured we had the correct dimensions and clarified what each change might mean for the layout of our event. Amramp is the way to go!!
- JMJudith McIrvinMay 27, 20255.0Just got an Amramp installed today. Looks and feels sturdy. It was installed just a week or so after we called for more info and asked for someone to come to our home for measuring. I wish it was all black and did not have silver rails, which I will paint black. Otherwise seems to be what we were looking for.
- CMChava MaimonDec 10, 20245.0My experience with Amramp was exceptional; simply put, they provided the highest level of customer service and installed to spec a high-quality product. When Brad came to my home to discuss the project, I was impressed with his knowledge, attention to detail, honesty, and genuine care for our needs. Throughout the process, he was communicative, adaptable, and delivered on all agreements. The installers themselves were friendly, respectful, and ensured without my prompting that I had the opportunity to inspect and try out the ramp before they left. Working with such a trustworthy company was immensely refreshing and made the entire process straightforward and streamlined. I am very grateful to Amramp and highly encourage anyone who needs their products to use their services.
- VVVickyApr 30, 20245.0My son was being released from the hospital in a wheelchair. The house we were renting had stairs up to the front door. I found Amramp and called in a panic. Brad was extremely accommodating! He reassured me they would take care of everything and they did! Twenty-four hours later we got home with my son and the ramp was in place. It looked very professional and worked perfectly for what we needed. When we were able to move back home, I called and they came right out and removed it. You would never know that it had been installed. I can highly recommend Brad and his team!
- JBJudith ButlerMar 5, 20245.0In September 2023, my husband fell and crushed his pelvis. We needed this ramp to get him into the house via his wheelchair I called them and they were able to install the ramp the day prior to my husband coming home. I called on a Tuesday and it was installed on Thursday. It is so very sturdy and very high quality material , and so stable . I was so very pleased with this ramp and the installer was awesome to work with. I have been giving this company name and phone number to everyone that is in the market. These people are honest and compassionate to your needs. We will not hesitate to use this company for a ramp if we should need it in the future.
Frequently Asked Questions About Amramp Accessibility of Richmond
What ramp type is the safest?
Steel wheelchair ramps won't rot like wood. They also have an open-pattern ramp surface that allows for moisture to pass through, which will prevent dangerous ice from forming that can happen on concrete or aluminum ramps.
Do you rent ramps?
About 45% of ramps should be rented when they aren't needed permanently. We allow you to easily rent ramps that are convenient for short term disabilities, recovery from surgery or for special events like graduation, weddings or reunions. No minimum time or amount of ramp required.
What ramp type is the most durable?
Steel and concrete ramps will both last for ages. They will not rot like wood. Aluminum has one-third the strength of steel and is three times softer.
What about moving or changing my wheelchair ramp after it is purchased?
If you move, you can take part or all of your steel wheelchair ramp with you. You can also add or shorten it as necessary.
Do wheelchair ramps have any resale value?
There is a market for steel wheelchair ramps when you no longer need them.
Are your ramps only for homes?
Amramp’s trained professionals provide FREE on-site evaluations, whether it’s a residence, church, school, or business.
Yes, Amramp also accommodates the construction and commercial industries offering ADA wheelchair ramps for purchase and rental.

How much does a wheelchair ramp cost?
Costs vary based on the size of the wheelchair ramp and the length of time the ramp is needed. Please contact us and your local Amramp expert will provide a free estimate.
Should I rent or should I buy a wheelchair ramp?
If you anticipate needing a ramp for more than 12 months, purchasing it is often more cost-effective than renting, as rental costs can exceed the purchase price. If you’re uncertain about the duration of your need, starting with a rental is a good option. Should you decide to purchase the ramp later, we will apply 75% of the rental fees toward the purchase price.
Rentals are ideal for:
