- LSLouise Scott6 days ago5.0My tooth extraction did not go as smoothly as expected - by me or by the dental surgeon. It was not anyone’s fault; my specific anatomy was a bit off textbook. It took longer than anticipated and the pain was difficult to control. The doctor and the staff were extremely attentive to the task, patient with me both during the procedure and afterwards. I was not hurried out, but they made sure I was fully recovered afterwards, and assisted me to my driver’s car. I was impressed! Thank you Blue Ridge, from this picky geriatric patient who is both a retired nurse and lawyer.

His nurse in the back is also very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the front desk staff, who came across as rather unfriendly and unwelcoming. I also want to mention the conditions in the waiting room. I have visited this location twice while accompanying a family member for wisdom tooth removal, and both times there was no air conditioning. Waiting for hours is already uncomfortable, but sitting in a hot room and sweating makes the experience even more unpleasant. Patients’ families and loved ones are also spending significant amounts of time there, and basic comfort should be taken into consideration. Overall, Dr. Brandt and his clinical staff provide excellent care, but the front desk experience and lack of air conditioning in the waiting room are areas that could use significant improvement.
