Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

This is a one star review that they recovered to a three star review. My Doctors Office has a very hard time get the right prescription sent to the right pharmacy (This is not a review about them). I know this and to address that fact I call ahead to my pharmacy make sure my doctors office did their job right. Thirty minutes before I left I called and walked the technician through what it was I need to pick up, we even talked about how there was a wrong prescription in the system that was similar. They confirmed they hard the correct prescription (name, dosage, quantity, number of refills) filled and ready and so I headed out. When I arrived they gave me the wrong one. I then had to wait another 20 minutes for them to fix their mistake. They only reason this is not a one star is the pharmacist did come apologize to me directly and they comped the difference in cost. Unfortunately, this is not the first time this has happened or I would let it go. We all make mistakes but the degree of understating I have is limited when it comes to my health. I want to be clear I want to support my local pharmacy. I pay more to not use the on line pharmacy that my insurance provides. I want them to succeed and it sucks that they still suck. If they make changes and things improve I will update this accordingly but for now, you should not get out of line before you check you have exactly what were expecting and calling ahead will only get you so far. I do get the feeling that they are understaffed and their systems are garbage but at the end of the day, I cannot let things slide when it comes to my health.

Genuinely took me over 5 calls to be able to speak to an actual pharmacist. The AI chatbot they have doesn’t work, and nobody ever actually picks up the phone. When I finally got on the phone with a pharmacist she hung up on me mid sentence, and then I couldn’t get back through to them. It’s so frustrating trying to get your medications, it’s such a chore everytime!
