I absolutely love this studio! Even as an instructor I leave each class I take feeling challenged and accomplished and appreciate any feedback I get as I continue in my own practice. Also love the sense of community here! All the members are amazing!

I LOVE everything about this studio. The manager, Preslie, is always so helpful and professional while also being fun and inviting to everybody! She and the other staff always help me whenever I need it :) and the instructors are also just the greatest people. They challenge me so much in every class but I also never feel intimidated to come in because they make me feel so strong and capable. They also are so vigilant and offer progressions and regressions all the time. It’s good to know how much they care about members and prioritize our safety. I can’t even pick a favorite instructor because they all serve the studio in a unique way, and I have loved them all !!
10/10 I can’t recommend it enough!!

I enjoyed the introductory class I took here a year or two ago, but the classes I've taken since have been disappointing. At the beginning of this summer I took a class led by Emma. I found her clues to be unclear, I didn't like that she would personally call me out over the mic for micro adjustments, and I ended up leaving the class early after she manually adjusted me without my permission. I do appreciate that she acknowledged this and apologized, and the studio kindly offered me a free class to make up for the bad experience. The comped class was an improvement because cues were clearer this time and I didn't experience unwanted touch, but still some of the same issues remained. I don't remember the name of the instructor but I spoke to her before class and said that I don't want to be personally called out, I'd prefer global cues. The instructor said she would accommodate that unless I was at risk of hurting myself. During the class, I still felt condescended over the microphone over miniscule corrections I was already trying to make. These corrections still felt shameful and embarrassing in nature, I felt judged. The instructor didn't have anything positive to say and I was the only one getting these comments. I was sensing the "mean girl energy" I've heard about in online discussions about Club Pilates. After the class I asked the instructor if the individual corrections were necessary for my safety to which she said no, which was frustrating and made it seem like our conversation before class didn't matter. I greatly appreciate feedback on form when it's constructive, but I'm not going to spend my money and free time at a place where the critique feels mean spirited.
The reason I'm making this review now is that I've found through my experience at other studios that individual corrections can be done in a way that doesn't make any one person feel targeted or embarrassed. For example, I've taken Solidcore classes during which individual feedback is mixed with positive comments and spread more evenly across every individual in the class. I remember thinking, "this is how Club Pilates can improve." I don't know if I'll ever come back here. I won't take a class from Emma again, but I hope that if I do come back that the instructors will be more encouraging.
