They are rough and you leave in more pain then you had with your issue you came in with. Never know who is doing your work. Revolving door of dentists.

They should want 100% have their license revoked. Told me I need a deep cleaning. Said the same to my son at thier Orem location. Went to a different dentist than said I absolutely did not need a deep cleaning.
When I told the hygienist at Young I wasn't going to do the deep cleaning and just to clean my teeth she made it into the most painful experience I've ever had of the dentist. The dentist I went to for the second opinion didn't hurt a bit. You've been warned.

I want to start by making it very clear that this review is NOT about everyone at Young Family Dental. I have had some truly amazing experiences here, especially with Dr. Gervasi and my regular dental assistant, Courtney. They have always treated me with kindness, compassion, and made me feel cared for throughout the extensive dental work I have had done.
My disappointment is specifically with my experience with Dr. White/Wright.
I have gone through a significant amount of dental work, including eight root canals, temporary teeth, and permanent teeth. Recently, I developed absolutely excruciating pain in a different tooth—one that had NOT previously been worked on. The pain was severe and radiating through my jaw to the point that I could barely function.
I went into the office because I knew something was seriously wrong. I explained how much pain I was in and that I had already been taking ibuprofen and Tylenol without getting enough relief. I saw Dr. White/Wright, and I left that appointment feeling completely unheard and dismissed.
What is most upsetting to me is that I was not even made aware that I had an infection in the tooth. Despite the amount of pain I was experiencing, I was sent home and told to continue taking ibuprofen and Tylenol.
By the very next day, the pain was even worse and I had to return to the office.
The difference in my care that second day was night and day.
My regular assistant, Courtney, was there, and the dentist who treated me actually listened to me and recognized the severity of the pain I was in. I was in far too much pain to tolerate having the necessary dental work done that day, so instead of sending me home to continue suffering, they addressed what I needed in that moment. I was given an antibiotic for the infection, my pain-control needs were addressed, and I finally felt like someone understood how much pain I was actually in.
I am incredibly grateful to Courtney and the dentist who took care of me that second day. That experience reminded me why I had previously felt comfortable trusting this office with my dental care.
But I am extremely disappointed with how my first visit was handled by Dr. White/Wright.
I understand that pain medication is prescribed at a dentist’s discretion, and I am not writing this review simply because I wasn’t given a specific medication. I am upset because I came in experiencing EXCRUCIATING, uncontrolled dental pain, left feeling like the severity of that pain was not acknowledged, was not made aware that I had an infection, and then had to return the very next day in even worse pain before I finally received the care, compassion, antibiotic, and pain management I needed.
No patient should feel like they have to prove how much pain they are in before they are taken seriously.
I am very thankful for Dr. Gervasi, Courtney, and the dentist who took care of me when I returned. They deserve recognition for the compassion they have shown me.
Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about my experience with Dr. White/Wright. I am deeply disappointed that I walked into a dental office in that much pain and was allowed to leave feeling unheard and still suffering, only to come back the very next day in even worse condition and have a completely different experience with another provider.
