  I visited this location as a walk-in on Saturday because I was interested in a specific pair of glasses. My main concern was my interaction with the female staff member (Doctor appointment side) who explained the process. Her tone, demeanor, and body language came across as negatively assertive, which made the experience uncomfortable and difficult to navigate. I understand that she may be familiar with the eye exam, but as a customer who knows very little about eye exams, I needed someone to explain things clearly and make sure I understood what was being communicated. Instead, I left the interaction feeling confused because I genuinely did not understand much of what she was explaining. I believe there is an important difference between being direct and coming across as overly assertive. Customer service requires more than simply explaining information at a rapid pace. It requires patience, awareness, and the ability to recognize when a customer may need additional clarification. Something as simple as asking, “Does that make sense?” or “Do you have any questions?” could make a significant difference in the customer experience. For comparison, the gentleman who assisted me with scheduling and insurance verification was professional, and his tone and demeanor made the interaction much more comfortable. That contrast made my experience with the female staff member stand out even more. I would encourage her to be more mindful of her tone, body language, and overall approach when communicating with customers, particularly walk-ins who may be unfamiliar with the process. Being knowledgeable is important, but being able to communicate that knowledge in a way that makes customers feel comfortable and informed is equally important. Although I really liked the glasses at this location, I have decided to cancel my appointment and move forward with another provider Warby Parker. I hope management takes this feedback constructively because the way information is communicated can make a significant difference in a customer’s decision to do business with a company.
