I had an appointment scheduled at LensCrafters, but unfortunately, I ended up canceling due to the experience when I arrived.
When I walked in, there were three staff members at the counter, including what appeared to be one of the doctors. No one acknowledged me or greeted me, which immediately felt off. I stood there unsure of who to speak to until I approached the counter myself. To be honest, I couldn’t even tell you any of their names, because no one introduced themselves or offered any kind of welcome.
The first thing I was asked was simply, “Your name?”—no greeting, no “How can we help you today?” It felt abrupt and impersonal. From there, the interaction continued in the same tone. Without much context or discretion, the staff member began discussing pricing and what I would owe out of pocket, including insurance details, in front of other customers. That felt uncomfortable and unprofessional, especially when it comes to personal financial information.
I value good customer service, and to me that includes basic things like eye contact, a welcoming tone, and a sense that you’re being taken care of—not rushed through a process. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here.
Because of the overall experience, I chose to cancel and plan to reschedule elsewhere. I hope this location can improve their approach to customer interaction, especially when it comes to first impressions and privacy.

Exceptional Service at LensCrafters — Ask for Ms. Alex
From the moment I walked into LensCrafters, Ms. Alex set the tone with a warm welcome, a genuine smile, and an outstanding personality.
She took the time to answer all my questions, understand my concerns, and guide me through options I would not have considered on my own. Her recommendations were thoughtful, practical, and clearly tailored to what I actually needed.
What stood out most was her attention to detail. She made sure the frames and lenses I selected were the right fit, not only visually but functionally. At no point did I feel rushed or overlooked.
This was the most confident and comfortable I have ever felt making an eyewear purchase.
If you want someone who is knowledgeable, attentive, and truly invested in helping you, go see Ms. Alex. She represents exactly what great customer service should look like.

I highly recommend LensCrafters. Tony Hernandez assisted me this evening, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish.
At 45 years old, I hadn’t worn glasses since high school, so I came in with quite a few questions about lenses, current trends, and overall style. Tony took the time to walk me through everything, built great rapport, and made sure I felt comfortable and informed throughout the entire process. I left my purchase feeling confident, with every question thoroughly answered.
What stood out even more was realizing that Tony had previously helped my wife when we were shopping for glasses for our son. His consistency speaks volumes. He took the time to find savings, educated rather than pressured, and genuinely seemed to have our best interests in mind.
Tony also spoke very highly of the company, how they treat both customers and employees, and mentioned he’s been with LensCrafters for 10 years. Based on my experience, it’s easy to see why.
I highly recommend LensCrafters to anyone in need of professional eyewear or quality sun protection.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
