I recently had an exceptional experience at the LensCrafters location at Ingram Park Mall in San Antonio. After a disappointing experience at another location, instead of giving up, I prayed and trusted that God would guide me to the right store. He guided me to call this store, and when Mateo answered the phone, he provided exactly what I needed—information and genuine kindness. He connected me with Assistant Store Manager Annette T., who took the time to listen to my concerns and understand my situation. Rather than dismissing my experience, she validated my feelings and offered meaningful solutions. I am grateful that God placed this store and these individuals in my path at exactly the moment I needed them.
She placed a new frame order and I went in to try them on Sunday May 31st 2026. They were perfect. During my visit, I was impressed by the store’s thoughtful design. The lighting is warm and appropriately bright—making it easy to assess frames without feeling overwhelmed—while the display cases are organized in a way that makes browsing intuitive and enjoyable. Annette mentioned the store had recently undergone a remodel, and it clearly reflects a commitment to creating an inviting, modern shopping environment. In this welcoming setting, Annette patiently worked with me as I explored additional options, including the Meta Ray-Ban glasses. She offered an additional discount that reflected her genuine commitment to my satisfaction. Beyond the transaction, Annette demonstrated mastery in both product knowledge and optical expertise. She understands the technical aspects of lens shaping, frame design, and fit adjustment—skills that come from genuine training and experience. When I asked about prescribing my Wayfarer Reverse sunglasses, she didn’t dismiss the request; instead, she engaged with it as a technical challenge worth investigating.
What impressed me most was Annette’s professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine care. She took ownership of my experience from start to finish. The distance from my home is absolutely worth it for the quality of service and expertise this store provides. Annette exemplifies what exceptional customer service should be. I am deeply grateful to God for orchestrating this experience and for blessing me with such kind and knowledgeable service. I would highly recommend this location to anyone seeking both quality eyewear and outstanding support.

The store manager Wryder went above and beyond in assisting me with my new glasses. He was helpful, attentive, and provided excellent customer service.
Great experience with all the employees, they were all helpful and willing to answer any questions.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
