Extremely negative experience with Jessica G.’s class. I have been doing Pilates for 6 years and have been going to Club Pilates on and off for about 2 years. I haven’t been to this particular location in a while because I had taken time off due to an injury.
I came about 5 minutes early so I could introduce myself to the instructor, get settled, and make sure I wasn’t behind since I was returning after some time away. When I walked in, I said hello to Jessica, but she looked at me and didn’t respond. I introduced myself again, and she asked, “Have you even done Pilates before?” I explained my experience, and she simply said, “Okay…” and told me to find a spot before turning around and walking away.
Throughout the entire class, she repeatedly tugged on my ankles and continued calling me by the wrong name, even though my name was clearly written on the board. She spoke to everyone else in the class except me and two other women and joking throughout the class about her upcoming vacation, while I was essentially ignored. She seemed to believe that the class was a social hour and not a fitness class that I paid for.
I came back after taking time off because of an injury and genuinely put myself out there trying to get comfortable again. Instead, I was met with what felt like rudeness, dismissiveness, and being completely left out. As someone who has been doing Pilates for years, I have never had an experience like this with an instructor. I left feeling extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome.
Look elsewhere for your fitness goals.

My sister and I had an intro class and when we walked into the building, we weren’t greeted. The person at the front desk did check us in and we let her know that it was our first time. She didn’t take the time to welcome us, show us around, tell us where we could put our stuff or anything like that. We weren’t given instruction on how to use any of the equipment. During class, the instructor read everything from her phone. She didn’t appear to be certified as she gave zero cues or instruction. After I had given some of the work out some time, I realized that the resistance wasn’t heavy enough, so I tried to add more resistance in the instructor came over and told me that I couldn’t. Super strange, I’m not used to not being able to set my own resistance. Definitely don’t recommend.

Denied Entry. Was delayed by 4 minutes to a 1:30 class that I had booked. When I arrived at 1:34 the second I opened the door the two women at the front desk gave me a snarky look and told me that I couldn’t join and had to rebook. For the prices this place charges denying guests a grace period to simply walk quietly into the back of the session to join in is absurd. I denied rebooking and will never return nor recommend them to anyone I know.

First off I joined this so I could try to get healthy after they hosted an event at the city for employees. I was pestered incessantly about coming for an intro class, which I did. At the class they said they were having a special and that it takes 3 months to see results. So when she said it's a 3 month commitment I thought she meant in terms of seeing results. I am neurodivergent so I understand things differently sometimes. Thats on me.
But when I said I wanted to sign up the lady did it for me on the tablet and I assumed it was a monthly sign up since they waived the membership fee. Because she filled it out she didnt let me read any of the CONTRACT (they never used that word once).
Unfortunately I am changing jobs and moving and can no longer stay so I asked about cancelling. Not only do i have to pay for the second month (that I cant use) I also have to pay 100 cancelation fee.
I had recommended them to my coworkers but now im gonna tell them to stay far away.
Predatory contract practices.
Namaste indeed.
