The Family Health Care Center has been bought out by Harbor Health care from Village Medical. Under the direction of Village Medical, this facility was top-notch. It was professional, organized and had a clean, healthy environment. PA Carolyn Brown has always been an incredible asset to this facility. Unfortunately, I was unable to see her.My visit yesterday, verged on incompetent and bizarre. The lobby was full, there was a line at the reception desk. It was obvious they were overbooked. I would be remiss not mentioning the reception staff and assistants were professional and top-notch as before. After waiting for over an hour, the nurse practitioner walks in looking disheveled, as if she had rolled out of bed and put on whatever she found on the floor. Her pants were psychedelic nylon and she had an oversized sweater on. There’s a reason for scrubs. After discussing my symptoms, she stated different options, but seemed confused on what to do. She then said what should we do here? After a long silence, I said well let’s do this this and this. She said OK.
There is now a kiosk where you login for your Lab work. It is cumbersome and ultimately did not work. When I finally went back to get my lab work done the technician, complained nonstop, no exaggeration literally nonstop in detail about how overwhelmed she has been and how today was better than yesterday. The lab room walls were covered in motivational pictures, posters and stickers. There was nothing sterile or professional about the environment. She was in a hurry to leave for lunch so she printed out 3 of the labs I needed to take to another facility. I post this poor review in the hopes the administration of this facility will set some standards and guidelines that are considerate of their patients well-being.
