Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

Awesome pharmacist and pharmacy workers. My weekly injection pens got stuck and I was panicking so I called the pharmacy since I got my injection pens there. The pharmacist picked up the phone right away and after listening to my problem, hey immediately provided my the manufacturer's phone number as well as guided me on how to best explain the situation to the manufacturer. I followed his advice and got a whole new box replaced for me within an hour of calling the pharmacy. It's really great to have a dedicated and caring pharmacy workers who's there for you, and I will transfer all my meds abd my family's meds from CVS to Kroger

Came in with my mom to pick up her meds, the pharmacist on duty noticed my mom was concerning with a copay of one of her meds. He immediately came over, helped my mom signing up for a manufacturer's coupon and to my mom happiness, she no longer had to pay $180 for that med. And the entire process only took less than 5min. This pharmacy team is awesome

My doctor kept forgetting to send in new prescription for inhaler and I have been without it for a week. I went to the pharmacy, spoke to the pharmacist and he got on the phone to call my doctor right away, he told me to head out for lunch and within an hour and half I received a phone call from the pharmacist telling me my inhaler was ready for pick up. Awesome pharmacist and his workers

I had a very disappointing experience with the Kroger pharmacy. The staff was unprofessional and lacked basic compassion. My wife has been dealing with a long-term neck injury and relies on prescribed medication for pain management. Instead of showing understanding, they questioned her about picking up her prescription one day early, which is completely within the allowed guidelines. What really stood out was the attitude. When I asked if they could fill the prescription in the morning, around 10 AM, I was told it could not be done until 2 PM. The pharmacist even admitted there was some flexibility, but still refused to help. Last month they filled at before 10 AM. It felt less like a healthcare service or policy and more like dealing with someone on a power trip. There was no effort to help someone clearly in pain. Just a rigid, dismissive approach and a sense that customer care does not matter. Pharmacies deal with people who are hurting, and a little understanding goes a long way. My wife didn't receive any of that here. We will not be returning, and I would strongly encourage others to consider a pharmacy that values professionalism and compassion. It’s also worth noting that judging by the many similar complaints in other reviews, this doesn’t seem like an isolated incident but rather a consistent pattern of poor service.
