I first started attending this clinic three years ago, and when I began treatment it was a supportive and professional environment. Unfortunately, since management changed, my experience has been completely different, and I will not be returning.
Before leaving town for work and to visit family, I informed the clinic ahead of time about my travel plans. While I was away, I became very sick and was unable to take my full doses because I was trying to avoid vomiting and running out completely. I was also pregnant at the time, which made the situation even more difficult.
Because of this, I received a discrepancy for the first time in the entire three years I had been a patient there. After that, I was discharged without any clear communication or warning. No one informed me that missing one specific day or failing to complete verification at another clinic would result in discharge.
I attempted to guest dose at another clinic, but they were unable to reach my home clinic because no one would answer the phone to verify my information. As a result, I could not receive my medication that day. I have now gone five days without treatment, stranded in another state without a clinic, despite trying to follow the proper procedures and communicate in advance.
I feel abandoned during a vulnerable medical situation, especially while pregnant and sick. After three years as a compliant patient with no prior issues, I believe this situation was handled unfairly and without proper patient care or communication.
I am requesting a review of my discharge, clarification on the policies that were used, and assistance with continuity of care immediately. Also because of this I’m misscarring my child thank you CMS
