As the first pediatric hospital in the region, UMC Children's Hospital has led the way in providing state-of-the-art care and comprehensive services for children. And because we are the teaching hospital for the Texas Tech School of Medicine, UMC has over 30 pediatric specialists on staff.
The UMC Children's Hospital is home to the region's only Burn Intensive Care Unit and is home of the Pediatric Trauma Level II certification. This means we can treat even more children than other hospitals in our area.
The UMC Children’s hospital is also a Children’s Miracle network Hospital. Through this partnership we have been able to provide cutting-edge medical technology and care to children in our region.
