I was unfortunately referred to this urology clinic. I saw Dr. Beck and he was horrible! Told me he was going to do an x-ray to see my stones and I let him know that my stones are not visible on x-rays. That has been proven with previous doctors. He put his hand on my knee, his face in front of mine and said "if I can't do an x-ray, then I'm not treating you". Nowhere in that conversation did I deny an x-ray! I have had my kidney disease for over 20 years. I don't need a doctor getting in my face for any reason! He wound up having to do laser lithotripsy for a 5.1mm stone in my kidney. When I was recovering, he came into my room and said he will not remove anymore stones that are not obstructing. I also never got the results of my 2-24 hour urine test that he had me do! I am still in the process of trying to find a new urologist because I will never go back to him!!!!

Absolutely waste of time. My husband was seen and completely discouraged from taking testosterone even though his levels were low. He was told to go back anytime to have lab work done. After about 4 months my husband decided to get his labs done and was told he needed to start the process all over and repay visit fees. The doctor even came out and told him he can’t just show up to get labs since it’s been more than 2 months and they only draw on certain days. The initial wait is ridiculous then to be lied to while waisting patients time and money unprofessional!

So I’ve been here about 3-4 times, and each visit costs roughly $150-$200. I was trying to optimize my testosterone levels to feel better after experiencing low energy, libido, and sexual drive. I had bloodwork done, and my levels came back at a low 300 of the normal range. I was told I’d start testosterone replacement therapy, but then I got a call a few days later saying I was only prescribed Anastrozole (also known as Arimidex) and to come back in six months. It surprised me that a urologist seems to know so little about this. Anastrozole isn’t testosterone replacement therapy; it helps to reduce the conversion of testosterone into estrogen. At such a low level within the normal range, I don’t see the need to take this medication to lower estrogen. The “normal range” is just a number what makes one guy feel good might not work for another. I give up and refuse to put my health at risk and sorry but I don’t recommend anyone go here.

Dr. Vallabhan Vallabahn and his team members are great. Kathleen A.P. N.P is great also. All of them take time to actually listen to the patient.
