  I genuinely cannot say enough good things about the H-E-B Pharmacy in Leander! I've been a patient here for about four years, and after some truly HORRIBLE experiences with other pharmacies, I can confidently say this location is doing something right. I have ADHD and level 1 autism (AuDHD). I run a veterinary hospital, manage a musician, book for a local music venue, and work with neurodivergent support groups. I juggle about a million things and travel VERY frequently. Having a pharmacy that works WITH me instead of making an already complicated process more difficult means more than I can explain. As a veterinary hospital practice manager, I interact with pharmacists regularly. I understand how demanding the profession is, how complicated medication regulations can be, and how burned out healthcare workers become. I certainly don't envy their workload! Yet this H-E-B team consistently manages to be professional, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely FRIENDLY. They smile, answer questions without making you feel like an inconvenience, and actually explain things. You'd think basic kindness in healthcare would be a no-brainer, but you'd be surprised how many pharmacies treat patients like an annoyance simply for asking questions. I particularly appreciate how they handle controlled medications. Anyone with AuDHD taking a controlled prescription knows what a logistical nightmare it can be. Between shortages, strict refill regulations, changing procedures, and coordinating everything around work and travel, it's exhausting. Navigating all that with a condition that affects executive functioning is a special kind of irony. 😂 You should hear the stories shared in my AuDHD support groups. It's heartbreaking how often patients describe being treated poorly, receiving inconsistent information, or feeling judged simply for asking about their legitimately prescribed medications or trying to understand updated procedures. That hasn't been my experience here. The pharmacists at H-E-B Leander respect the regulations while recognizing there's a HUMAN BEING on the other side of the counter. They explain refill requirements, communicate about medication availability, and help patients understand their options within the rules. Even the head pharmacist remembers me and has personally helped answer questions and navigate complicated situations. They don't make exceptions to the rules; they make an effort to ensure patients understand them. That distinction makes a world of difference. Have there been occasional hiccups? Of course! Sometimes newer employees are still learning. That's understandable. What matters is how those situations are handled, and this team consistently demonstrates that they care about doing their jobs well.I genuinely cringe when a medication shortage forces me to use another pharmacy. 😂 What sets this location apart is something that shouldn't be exceptional in healthcare: "They treat people like human beings, not prescription numbers." I know pharmacy staff deal with stressed, frustrated, and sometimes unpleasant people daily. I see similar challenges in veterinary medicine. That's why recognizing people who continue showing patience, compassion, and professionalism is so important. Healthcare is complicated enough. Patients shouldn't feel intimidated, judged, or like an inconvenience for managing their health. You can follow every regulation, maintain professional boundaries, and STILL lead with kindness. This pharmacy proves that. To the H-E-B Leander pharmacists and staff: Your kindness, communication, and willingness to help don't go unnoticed. You make a bigger difference than you probably realize.Thank you for making one part of my chaotic little AuDHD life significantly less chaotic. ❤️

  They wouldn't let me have torodol (a non addictive NSAID) when I broke two ribs. I just had to go without any pain medication despite the broken bones 🤷🇺🇸 They said my doctor was "unreasonable". 6 weeks later they pulled the same crap for my daughter's medicine. Im over them. Twice in less than 2 months is a pattern They'll fill 120 oxycodones per month every month for a patienta entire life but God forbid a doctor prescribes a non-addictive NSAID for a guy with broken bones.

  Worst pharmacy… they got prescription from our doctor office a week ago but still they weren’t able to finish. We made couple of attempts so far. Unfortunately we have to argue or make many requests to get the orders..

  Would be nice if someone would answer the phone... had a prescription sent over 2 days ago and haven't heard from them... been trying to call for 2 days with no answer.... guess ill drive there and stand in line just to see if it happens to be ready.... this heb as a whole is the worst one I have even been to
