I had four calls over the last two days for what I thought was confirming an appointment. Today I got an automated text telling me my appointment tomorrow would be cancelled if I didn't call them back. I called them back and because my insurance wouldn't cover my $150 eye exam for another few months they needed to cancel. I said "can I use my FSA?" as I have not been happy with my contact lens prescription. Apologize here. Didn't happen. followed by "I can also pay out of pocket" The response, "yes you can but we need a $50 deposit, that's our policy." I have purchased eyeglasses, contacts, and my insurance has covered previous exams. Nearing $1,000 dollars This sends a message to me that I am not important, my insurance, and money is. I hope Dr. Meagan LeGrand is aware that her staff needs to understand the business side of things. She is great. Who "dines an dashes" on an eye exam? Especially when they need new contact lenses? My credit card is good. Do better. You just lost a client over a $50 deposit that was not necessary.
