  I’ve been using this H-E-B Plus Pharmacy for about five or six years, and I’ve consistently had good experiences here. The staff communicates well, is helpful, and makes the process easy to understand. But I especially wanted to recognize Xóchitl for helping me today. I needed medications that were time-sensitive, and initially I was told that one of them likely wouldn’t be available until tomorrow. Xóchitl took the time to understand what I needed and walked me through what could be done. She never made promises she couldn’t keep, so I was fully expecting to have to come back the next day. To my surprise, not long afterward I received notification that both medications were ready that same day. She also took the time to help explore different payment options rather than simply running my insurance and stopping there. Because of that extra effort, the cost of one of my medications went from an already reduced copay to $0. That made a huge difference for me. What stood out even more was realizing that this wasn’t special treatment. While I was waiting, I watched Xóchitl interact with other customers. She asked people how they were doing, explained things clearly, made sure they understood their medications and costs, and genuinely seemed interested in helping each person in front of her. She was enthusiastic, respectful, patient, and incredibly kind throughout my interaction with her. When you’re dealing with something urgent, having someone who communicates clearly and genuinely wants to help can take so much stress out of the situation. I walked away feeling taken care of, and I’m extremely grateful for the effort Xóchitl put in today. After five or six years, experiences like this are exactly why this continues to be my pharmacy. Thank you, Xóchitl, and thank you to the entire H-E-B Pharmacy team.

  I usually visit this pharmacy because it’s conveniently located near my home. However, I dread going there every time I need to fill my ADHD medication. I feel extremely judged and questioned as if I’m trying to purchase illegal substances. It’s always the same woman who is particularly judgmental and gives me a hard time. The process is slow, and the interrogation is unpleasant. I clearly need the medication if my provider prescribes it.
