Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

It's been a bit over a year and I decided to try Kroger Pharmacy again due to challenges at another pharmacy. While the app and auto refill seems to be working a bit better, what has really been a noticeable improvement is the staff. They have been so helpful, had good recommendations and the service has been quick. Glad I tried this location again. Prior review:I agree with the other reviewers here who have had poor experiences with this pharmacy. Every time I refill my prescription via the app and schedule a time (usually well ahead of time) it is not ready on time, and sometimes it's not even in stock. This latest situation it's not even ready 36 hours after the scheduled pick up and I am told I'll need to wait about an hour. I've asked repeatedly about the app and am always told there's some new issue...I'm honestly not sure why they have it at all. This all said, the people have always been fairly pleasant, and I'm sure they're tired of the frustrated customers, which is why I'm giving 2 starts instead of 1.

Last Monday I called the pharmacy to find out if they had antibiotics and they said yes, I knew it was an hour before they closed but I explained to the guy that I had already wasted my time at Walgreens (2 hours to be exact and not even they gave me my medicine). When I arrived, the pharmacist and the person I spoke to on the phone, changed the order from where it had been and I got my medicine in 30 minutes. I loved how caring and diligent they were, this will be my pharmacy of choice from now on! And when I find out the names of these two guys I will update my review so they know that they are the best! By the way, all this is because that day I felt very sick and I needed my medicine.

My family won't be shopping here anymore. Prices have been going up while customer service is going down. No amoxicillin--no problem; call us when the order comes in so we can get on the path to recovery somewhere else. The next prescription we went to pick up resulted in being told that it was "gonna take a long time" and to pick up the next day. Okay, but the next day it wasn't ready either. "No one told us it was a priority" is a terrible excuse for not filling a common prescription in a timely manner. Costco and CVS are better for us now.
