Vaccinations
Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.
This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.
This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.
This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.
This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.
This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.
There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.
These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.
This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.
These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.
Physical & Wellness Screenings
Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.
When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.
Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.
Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.
Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

There is an attendant that works in the pharmacy who has the attitude of a bully. She has always made me feel like an inconvenience and that my questions aren't worth answering. Earlier today she pursed her lips, paced behind the counter, huffed and snapped at me and the elderly lady beside me who, like me, just wanted to know when her prescription would be ready. I tried to understand, but leaving without the pain meds I really needed was unacceptable. She told me my meds would be available sometime the next day, but she couldn't say when. She shot down my offer to stay and wait. I went home, went to bed and got called that the prescription was ready, only an hour later. I could have waited. But as it was I had to get out of bed, get dressed again and go back to the store to get my pain meds. This behavior is unacceptable. When I picked up my pills the attendant who waited on me was very kind. I asked her who the other woman was, she sighed, shook her head and said the woman's name is Patricia. Patricia needs some heavy duty customer service training or a job where she doesn't have to come near the customers. this isn't over. I have Kroger's corporate offices phone number and address.

date of service RX p/u: 12/3/2024 after 5pm.
I'm a medical professional and my patient picked up her controlled rx and was ID'd ...funny when just because she showed her ID the tech explained how its expired and refused her meds! Unacceptable. This was the patients LEGAL identification. If my patient wouldn't/t have had her son with her with an (un-expired) ID, they would have refused her life saving medication. This needs an internal formal resolution. Unacceptable. My patient has been a patient w/ Kroger for almost 30 years. Shame on staff. Ive been relayed and told the 2 ladies are rude, slow and unprofessional. Please advise and proper chain should take pride on staff.
