- JMJeff MooreSep 24, 20261.0The head pharmacist, Clarence Richardson is arrogant and unethical. He apparently thinks he is smarter than an orthopedic surgeon and refuses to fill valid prescriptions. If you have words with him about it he becomes vindictive and petty. He has zero business with a license to be a pharmacist, being the head of a pharmacy or a board member of the Texas Pharmacy Association. When the State body that governs pharmacists encourages you to file a formal complaint, you know it’s bad.
- DMDavid MartinSep 7, 20262.0Very Poorly Designed Pharmacy Drive-Thru The pharmacy drive-thru at this H-E-B is one of the most poorly designed drive-thrus I’ve encountered. The spaces are simply too narrow and short for what I would consider average-sized vehicles today, making them difficult—and in some situations dangerous—to navigate. This is especially frustrating in our area where a large percentage of customers drive trucks and larger SUVs. The design does not seem to take the local customer base into consideration. One particularly problematic feature is the concrete barrier placed at the front of the pull-up spaces. It prevents larger vehicles from pulling forward far enough, leaving very little room to maneuver and making it difficult to safely enter and exit the lane. It also creates another unnecessary problem: because vehicles can’t pull up close enough, many customers have to get out of their vehicles just to reach the prescription delivery canisters. That completely defeats much of the convenience of having a drive-thru in the first place and creates an unnecessary safety concern. There could be a pretty simple potential solution: remove the concrete barriers and relocate the protective posts farther back from the curb. That would provide larger vehicles with the additional room they need without requiring a major redesign. I like H-E-B, but this drive-thru needs some serious attention. It is inefficient, difficult to navigate, and unnecessarily hazardous. I hope someone from H-E-B’s facilities or store management takes a close look at it and considers a practical redesign.
